I would have glanced at the charged indicator. If it showed red I would have suggested rolling the scooter over to the rental desk and politely asked for a charge.

Maybe scooterbug gave them a scooter that wasn't fully charged. Maybe they got the scooter yesterday morning and forgot to charge it.

I have rented from both Gold Mobility and from Scooterbug. I rented from Scooterbug before Gold Mobility started offering rental periods of less than one week. Every time I had Scooterbug, I was always wishing it was a Gold Mobility rental instead. I do not remember my specific problems, but the accessories that come with Gold Mobility (fan, phone holder, etc.) made their scooters much more user friendly. I would pick Gold Mobility over Scooterbug every chance I can.

Golden Technologies isn't reputable? You've suggested some of their scooters in many posts.

Scooterbug wouldn't be in business if the alleged examples you mentioned were real and typical.

Customers who want bell services delivery and want to use Gold should stay in Swan....or any of the DS hotels.

I generally choose gold mobility for my rentals as their rentals are generally equipped with more side dishes (fan, usb port, faster speed, no backup beeping,etc). I also schedule my times arrival and departure around getting the scooter when it's easy to meet them. It's not fair to give people recommendations based on untruths about a company. Explaining how company A is different from company B and how that impacts your rental is absolutely fair.

No, they don't, Scooter Bug rents the same models they rent in the park for hotel pickup, at least those are the ones that I have seen being used from Scooter Bug and at Bell Services and those are indeed pieces of junk. If they actually would start renting Pride and Golden Technologies scooters, it would likely help, but not what I have seen being rented by them.

The scooters in the parks are not the same model they deliver to the hotel. I've done it both ways. The ones they drop off at your resort hotel are much nicer and less clunky.

The units typically rented to hotel guests were replaced by units made by Pride and Golden Technologies. Reputable brands.
