I would have glanced at the charged indicator. If it showed red I would have suggested rolling the scooter over to the rental desk and politely asked for a charge.

Maybe scooterbug gave them a scooter that wasn't fully charged. Maybe they got the scooter yesterday morning and forgot to charge it.

I have rented from both Gold Mobility and from Scooterbug. I rented from Scooterbug before Gold Mobility started offering rental periods of less than one week. Every time I had Scooterbug, I was always wishing it was a Gold Mobility rental instead. I do not remember my specific problems, but the accessories that come with Gold Mobility (fan, phone holder, etc.) made their scooters much more user friendly. I would pick Gold Mobility over Scooterbug every chance I can.
