We hit gold level sept/2016 with our Ebpc cruise. Even did the $250 placeholder deposit. How come I haven't gotten an email regarding the summer 2018 cruises? Aren't I supposed to be able to book tomorrow? I don't know any prices. Am I supposed to keep the person on the phone while I make up my mind? Anyone else in the same boat?( pun intended!)

The "watch for new cruises" email is kinda hit or miss. We're Platinum and we've gotten nothing.

My experience in the past, the email doesn't include prices, only the itinerary/date info.

Yes, you kinda have to make up your mind while on the phone.

Thanks for the reply! I can't make a decision that means spending thousands of dollars under that kind of pressure. I think I'll wait till Thursday when I know the prices.

We usually go at it with the idea of what the cost is probably going to be (based on previous years, plus inflation). If the numbers we hear at the time don't fall in that frame (plus or minus a bit), then we don't book.

And, you can always go ahead and book it. Except for Concierge, you can get your deposit back with no penalty if you feel in a couple of days/weeks that the cost is too much.

How odd! :confused3 Something wonky there! I'm Silver and didn't get an email but wasn't expecting one (figured they only emailed Gold and Platinum).
It's actually happened the past 3 releases and I've been Gold!

Another Platinum who never receives the emails from DCL but thankfully my DU TA sent me the information. When DH was silver, he'd get an email but hasn't since he's been gold. Sort of weird but ah well...

Same! Gold Castaway member, have never received any emails from DCL even though we have checked all the permissions in our Disney accounts to received promotional emails. I always thought it was because we were in Canada!

I am not gold yet but going on my 5th this August. I don't remember receiving any email from DCL. However, my TA always sends me emails about the new itineraries. Just got her email this morning.

Silver, and got the exact same email (just with "silver castaway" written on the top) at the exact same time today as my sister, who has never sailed on DCL but I guess signed up for emails b/c she doesn't want to miss out again...

Platinum and I never receive any emails from DCL on new releases. I get rccl and carnival sending me emails all the time.

Gold and I haven't gotten an email since I was silver either... you can call tomorrow at 8am EST when it opens and they can put a "hold" on cruises for you without a deposit so you can think about it and only put money on the one you truly want. I thought it was a couple of days but when I placed a hold on one today it was only held until midnight EST so maybe they have changed it recently. Either way, you will have time without holding them up if you wish.

I also have made an 'opening prices' thread and stickied it at the top. As people get quotes they will post them there... its not nearly as good as having everything loaded into the website, but you may get a ballpark that way too.
