Just been looking on USRENTACAR and we cannot decide if the gold cover is the thing for us so can anyone help with a cpl of questions?

Is it worth the xtra bearing in mind there is only two of us so if one gets sick we have limited options with the car

the full tank of fuel!!! is that so we can return it empty? or do we have to top up it and return it full?

sorry but have never hired before and am a little confused:confused3

Gold cover value depends how long you are renting and the total cost.

We usually take it if the price is right, DW has never driven out there but for the sake of a few £'s I prefer to have her included for emergencies, far easier than having to add her half way thru a trip. Plus the cost of gas has increased so the tank of gas is worth quite a bit now.
You collect all cars full, if you take Gold cover you return it as empty as possible, many times I have returned on fresh air.:goodvibes

I have found USrentacar a little expensive recently, if you post your dates, car size and price I will see if there are any better deals around.

Hi Nick, something not quite right there, 17th~23rd is only 6 days. 7 days on USrentacar is showing £172.61, not £171. (unless I have done something wrong)
On a short rental(7 days) its almost certainly worth adding Gold, its about £25 extra, a tank of gas is worth well over that but clarify day/amounts and I will look around.

Im getting worse as i get older..sorry wayne

we are going from 15th to 22nd september and yep the price is 172.01

look forward to seeing what you find

Difficult to save much on a 1 week rental, I just saved Mart(burt) £120 on his 29 night rental for August using Netflights instead of USrentacar, more beers he owes me on our cruise:rotfl2:

A little saving would be with Carhire3000 at £166.88 but if you register with Quidco they will give you 7% cashback £11.68, they will take £5 off that for a years subscription but then everything you earn thru Quidco for the year will be yours.
I past few weeks I have had £22 from Uswitch for changing energy supplier, £6.50 booking theatre tickets plus many more. Cashback sites are brilliant.:goodvibes

If you use Carhire3000 I suggest paying in full so you can cancel with no fee if a better rate appears.
