Going without fastpass plus?

This was a last minute trip for us and we just bought our tickets and heading to the parks next week. I could connect my passes now and try and get fast pass+ reservations but there probably aren't many left or I could take my chances and try and get fast passes at the park. If I decide to get them at the park should I still link my passes at my Disney experience?

I have been to Disney 8 times but this is the first time I really stressed trying to figure out what to do.

Thanks
CK

I would link them now and make FP+ selections. You'll be surprised by just how many attractions and times are available.

I don't see any reason NOT to get them now.
Even last minute you should be able to prebook 3 decent FP+.
I went on last night and booked Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Space Mountain for this afternoon.

I agree. Even if you don't want to choose all 3 for each day, I would at least pick up a couple of your not to miss rides.

(Just making sure you know there is no regular FP in the parks. You would need to choose FP+ at a kiosk or link your passes to MDE and choose on a smart phone.)

Exactly. Why not get it done now and save yourself the headache and time of doing it in the park. I don't get the logic in waiting, as long as you have tickets.

I won 4 individual park hoppers and have purchased a 2 day pass. Will this be a problem when making fast pass plus reservations? The rest of my family has a 6 day pass so it isn't an issue and what about children under 2. For toy story mania would my 2 year old require a fast pass even though he doesn't have a ticket? Thanks for your help.

Yes, yes, definitely! Get them today if possible.

You will be ahead of the people who don't even know about MDE, plus you will avoid the long lines at the kiosks in the parks.

Some friends went recently, and even with 2 days' notice, they got all of the rides they wanted (except A&E and SDMT). It's possible you can get SDMT even now.

Use easywdw to pick which parks/which days, and mesaboy's thread for which rides to use your 3 FPs on. For optimal results I also recommend Ridemax, which tells you when during the day to schedule your FPs.

Children under 2 can't have a FP+ because they don't have a ticket.
