Hi everyone, I have already posted on the Disneyland thread here, but thought I would post on the families thread also.

DH has a conference in Anaheim in November of this year, me and the kids are thinking about going with him. We would have two days in the park, I would be there by myself except for one evening when DH would go with us to watch the fireworks, and ride Splash, etc. My children are 3 and 6, am I insane about thinking about taking them to the park alone?? I don't think we would have any problem riding the rides in Fantasyland together.

Who else has taken their young children alone to the park and do you have any advice??

Thanks! :goodvibes

Hi JennaTX, I am going to WDW this Oct with my DH and 2 DD's ages 2 and 4. My husband will be at seminars for 3 mornings and we are staying at the Boardwalk Inn right at Epcot so I am actually thinking of strolling the girls around by myself for those few mornings. Obviously Ill have the stroller for security and to keep the girls contained, but I was worried too. I actually posted a similar thread and got very helpful responses saying that we take the kids out running errands at home so to treat it like that. They all said Ill be fine and to just keep things to a minimum. Obviously with 2 little ones I wont be able to do too much anyhow. I think you will do fine with the kids. Good luck and ENJOY!!!!

You are not crazy. I would do it, but expect to do only a few things. That way you do not put too much pressure on you or the little ones.

Have a great time.... watch those carbs!

As long as it's mid-week the parks should be pretty mellow. On weekends, even in November, Disneyland will be packed. It's more of a 'locals' park, so even in the offseason the park gets super crowded on the weekend.

So, as long as you aren't going to Disneyland with the kids by yourself on the weekend, I'd say you'll be fine!

I go all the time by myself and i ahve a DS4 and DD 3. This summer i was really insane and picked up my friends kids and took 4 kids 5,4,3 and 3 to Seaworld by myself. I have taken them before but always with at least a teenager with me as a back up. I have very strict rules when i have so many kids and i am by myself but they ahve a great time and so did i.

I agree, you will have a great time. Those are good ages to be by yourself too! A friend and I go all the time without our DH's, and between us we have 5 kids under 5 and I am pregnant! We have tons of fun so I am sure you will be fine. Most rides fit three, so you should be good to go! Let us know how it goes.

My DH went to Lotusphere one year and we went along for the fun. I took the kids then 10 months and 10 by myself and we took our time and had fun. No rushing to get rides done...It was a very relaxing trip.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for everyone's help! I think ya'll are right, as long as we take it easy, (no commando) we will be fine. And on Saturday when we go, DH will be with us.

Thanks Again! :flower:
