Can't wait! Curious as to whether DS 11 will care for it or not....but I know DD 15 will!
So who's gone, and how much are the T-shirts going to set me back? I already have the CD...the box office gave it to us since we had bought 6 tix and shelled out a small fortune. Ha ve not listened to it yet tho...waiting until AFTER we see it!

I'm SOOOOOO jealous! I would love to see this show & so would my dd's. Please tell us all about it when you get back!

I really want to see it, but there's no way right now. We don't have any theatres like that around here.

Does anyone have a pic of the shirts, and do you know if I can buy one without actually going to the show?tia!

I am jealous!! I would so LOVE to see it. On a side note my aunt and uncle bought DD#1 a black knit hat (winter) that says "wicked" on it (they obviously went to see it)and it's so great for her to wear. I'm sure we'll be passing it down to DD#1.

Enjoy! I wish I could go...THEY ARE SOOOO EXPENSIVE!

Here is one sample that just leaves me flabbergasted...
Section: D ORCH Row: D
Notes: 4th Row Center Section on Aisle 2
$ 625 EACH!!!!

me too me too.... I want to see it too !!!
but noone wants to see it with me.. :guilty: my friends are party poopers..

Granted, I haven't checked into prices....but HOLY COW (where's the cow picture when you need it???) :confused3 Well, that's why I can't see it!!
DH and I saw the Lion King in Toronto 2 yrs ago and it was amazing. Apparently I'll just have to go to Toronto to see it!! :Pinkbounc

I must say I heard the music and it was kind of annoying to me. I want to see if but the cd is just not appealing. I KNOW I am one in a million but still I guess I will go see it when it comes in April.

It was funny we had the author come and speak to the kids at our school a couple of years back and he was nothing like what I would expect. Not flashy and very non descript.

Please let us know how you liked it. My DD would love to see it. How far in advance did you have to get your tickets?

Those are ticket broker prices. Look on www.ticketmaster.com for non-scalper prices. I believe there ARE some "premium" seats that go for $250 a piece (through ticketmaster) and those might be it (first few rows of orchestra) but you can get very good seats for $100 (there really isn't a bad seat in the whole theater) and partially obstructed seats at the Gershwin for $55 a piece. These seats are NOT partially obstructed, they are just to the far right or left but otherwise fabulous seats (we saw in row K and had a great view). You won't be able to see into the back corner of the stage on the side on which you are sitting but the action takes place in the front of the stage, mostly in the center anyway.

Thank You! I did not realize that those were scalper tickets. Makes much more sense now! Now if I can get tickets I just might take my girls.

Both your DD's will love it. I took my 9 yo to see it and she loved it! This year the 5th grade class will go see it so the lucky kid will get to see it again. You'll love it. :flower:

It's coming to Pittsburgh next March or April. I can't wait! :cool1:

Well, legalized scalping. They are "ticket brokers" and if you google on "Wicked tickets" that's what you'll get. You should be able to get GREAT seats on your own if you buy far enough in advance but seriously, the gershwin is a new, comfortable theater with stadium-like seating in the back of the orchestra so there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

I saw Wicked with the original Broadway cast. It was AMAZING. Both my DDs in their early 20s loved it and are planning to see it again with friends.
Idina Menez as Elphaba was awesome, tis difficult for me to imagine someone else doing the part justice.

We saw it in the spring it was great and we were in the second to last row. LOL. I think our tickets were $75 dollars but we were able to enjoy the show. You will love it. We didn't buy t-shirts but did get a program & DD bought the CD. Which I really enjoy. Have fun!

Thanks guys for posting! We are heading out the door...seeing the matinee. We are balcony level, and tix were $65...no extra fees as we bought them at the theater about 5 weeks ago. So yes...pretty pricey for our family...we usually do not drop that kind of cash for a single event...but have never been to a broadway show...anything, so it's about time we experience it!
I'll post later...but really psyched now! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Dan...thnaks for the shopping link...looks like the merchandise will cost almost as much as out tickets!
