Just decided today...with great ticket discount I found here...to go to Sea World one day during our trip next week. I've never been and just have a few questions.

1. Any idea on what I might except crowd wise?

2. I saw on SW website about a Sesame Street show, but it
says that it is "seasonal" -- does anyone know if it will be showing
next week?

3. Park hours are only til 6pm, so I assume no fireworks?

4. Is the Shark Grill Restaurant really worth it?
I'm trying to decide between eating there and Voyager.
My nephew is 5 and loves fish, so that is why I'm thinking
about Shark Grill

5. What is most popular show...should we hit it first???

I guess alot will depend on crowds, which I don't have much idea
of this time of year...do we need to get there at opening now?
Is 15-20 minutes before a show good enough to get in for
good seats?

I know with our ticket we can go for another day for
free, but I really doubt we will have time, so I'm looking
for the most bang for our buck for one day.

Thanks in advance!!! :)

You're correct, there'll be no fireworks or Sesame Street show during your visit. During my visit last week crowds were moderate...more crowded on MLK Jr. Day but not too bad, less crowded on the day after the holiday but not dead quiet by any means. Still, with less frequent showtimes on less busy days, the midday shows filled up 15-20 minutes before showtime. We found the early morning and late afternoon shows had smaller crowds than the midday shows. I would definitely arrive at opening if you only have one day to visit.

Must see attractions are Believe (awsome show with killer whales, multimedia, and an awesome score), Blue Horizons (show with dolphins, false killer whales, birds, divers, acrobats, and another great score), and Wild Arctic (a pavillion similar to what you'd find at Epcot with a simulator ride and many arctic animals). If you have time you could choose to see Odyssea (a great cirque style show) or Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island (a comical show with sea lions, an otter, and a walrus). Along the way you should easily be able to see the many animal habitats as they probably won't have any waits during your visit. I wouldn't waste time waiting in a long line to feed the dolphins. You'll have just as much fun with no wait feeding the sting rays and sea lions. Be sure to visit the underwater viewing for the dolphins and manatees, the penguin exhibit, and the sea lions.

You should try to ride Journey to Atlantis, the line will probably be shortest earlier or later in the day. It's a great water flume ride with some surprises (just avoid the front row to avoid getting your feet soaked.

If you choose not to eat at Shark Grill, you might want to try Seafire Inn instead. The food is very good, and during our visit the lines were much smaller than at Voyagers. At Seafire Inn you might also be able to catch the Sizlin' Pianos show on stage in the dining room. They perform several times a day during lunchtime and early afternoon.

Perhaps you could use your "second day" option to visit for part of another day...the day you arrive or depart maybe. Enjoy your trip.

I definately agree that you should see the Believe & Blue Horizons shows.

We found out that it was best to plan visiting the animal habitats around when the show times were because there are only so many shows a day & we didn't want to miss them. So I would start there.

Don't forget my favorite show....the hospitality house!

Nothing refreshes tired theme park feet better than one of AB's Famous Brews.
