Going to MK on a MVMCP day

I've read that those are great days to go to MK (people generally don't pick MK those days since the park closes early). I've read a lot about MVMCP so I know they start letting people in for the party around 4, but technically it doesn't start until around 7, correct? What time do they begin to "kick people out?"

How late can one make an ADR at MK without a ticket? I want to go to LTT for dinner that day.

I really do not care much about MVMCP (maybe another year) and am not trying to be there into "party time," so don't get me wrong. :-)

The different restaurants in MK have different end times for reservations for folks without a party ticket, but it looks like LTT is old school and as long as your ADR is before 7pm (so 6:55 or earlier), you can eat there. After dinner, you'll be escorted out of the park.

They start to move people out at 7. And you can make a dining reservation to a bit before that.

Morning is great if you go to the MK on a party day. I woudl suggest you go early and take advantage of the reduced crowds. Dinner ADR times vary depending on the restaurant you choose, but figure about 6:30 for LTT. The folks on the restaurant board will have accurate cutoff times for you.

Going to MK on a MVMCP day is a wise decision as the crowds do tend to be lower. People without park hoppers usually opt for another park due to MK closing early. I would not make a dinner ADR for any later than 6:30-6:45 pm. The closer you book to 7 pm, the greater chance you stand of being one of the people Disney calls and says that your ADR has been canceled.

I dunno but I'd wanna see the fireworks...sure you might get lower crowds but you totally miss out on any kind of nighttime entertainment.

Maybe it be better to pick a park that your not pressed for time?

I would watch fireworks from outside the park that night. It's a tradeoff that is worth it. The few nights the park is open late the crowds are substantially higher all day.

Yeah, but if they're not interested in the party, I don't know that the fireworks are worth $100.

Not everyone cares about seeing the nighttime entertainment. The only reason I saw MSEP on my last trip is bc we were tying to leave the park and got "trapped" by the parade where it starts (we were cutting through the shops). I don't make the nighttime shows a priority. I would go to MK on a party day if it meant lower crowds. Different strokes, different folks!

You're not pressed for time if you get there either for RD or a PPO breakfast. That's 10-11 hours. We did it in December and by 6 we were ready to head out anyway. Main St was packed like crazy. If they want to see Wishes they can maybe book a meal at a monorail resort and then catch the special show from outside the park.

I can get more done on a party day with shorter hours than I can on a non-party day with longer hours.

I'm pretty sure I prefaced my post with "I'd", if you don't want nighttime entertainment, I don't care. I'm just giving my perspective as the poster said they wanted diner reservations at LTT, and at least to me I'd hate knowing I have a countdown in the back of my head instead of leisure.

Do what you want, just make sure you have fun :).

Also if you DID want to do the Christmas Party you can come at four and outside of main street you have the park to yourself!

This is one of the main reasons we get hoppers. So that we can go to MK on party days but then hop over there for nighttime stuff on the other evenings. We just avoid the rides and show up for the fireworks or parade.

For what it's worth, I got a 6:45 ADR for BOG and was going to have to pay for the MVMCP so I changed my mind. BOG must be one that has an early cut off time. It did say when I made the reservation that a ticket to a special event would be required. I'm guessing the same thing would happen with LTT.

It specifically says on each restaurant's page on Disney's site what time the restaurant stops taking non-party reservations.
