Going to Fort for Fun n' Fish'n

Got reservations and God willing ,, we'll be at the Fort,,Sept.20,2008 for a week. Requested loop 1600, never stayed in that loop before but it looked real nice so thought we would try it. Plan on hitt'n all the parks this trip. We also plan on gett'n in some fish'n time,,nothing better than catch'n a big ol 5 lb. swimmer ! So are we the only anglers out there? Bay Lake has some of the best fishing we've ever done. Mrs.Goofy reeled in a 9 lb. bass one year,,,and I'm not even gonna mention the one that got away. ......GO AHEAD , BE GOOFY,, IT'S ALL THE RAGE .

We have never fished while at the Fort. What is the easiest way to do it? Do you go on one of the guided tours? Rent a boat? Or a canoe? Or just fish from the bank? Can you catch a lot of fish in the canals that connect to the lake?
We have a trip planned for May with enough extra time in the schedule to do some fishing.

The easiest an best way is to take a guided tour,,it's also the most $$$,,but you will catch some nice bass! And I would recommend the guide named Uby, we believe he is the best,but all the guides are good. On the excursion they provide EVERYTHING, except for shiners.Take your camera! You cannot fish from a rented boat. If you are staying at the campground you may fish from the lake banks and the canals. You can however rent a canoe and fish the canals that way,,altho we have never rented a canoe,,just as easy to walk an fish the canals. Bring night crawlers, plastics, and fish the lake an canal by Loop 300 when the pumps are running , usually Mondays. The amount of fish you can catch ,, depends on the fish an the day,,thats why it's called fishing. We've had great days an not so great days.... I would like to say that our best guided tour was a 4 hour tour, we caught over 100 fish,the average size being 2-5 lb. ..Our worst trip was 4 fish in 2 hour trip. Thats Fort fish'n !

We have done round 40 or so of the guided fishing trips , Have you done any of the guided fish trips on Bay Lake ? And what was your experence ? Keep'n it Goofy.

What???? Thats pretty interesting.....I wonder if he ment in the south of FL?

No he meant the south of the USA. They[WDW] also bought another lake property. I believe it is Lake Stewart[not positive on name]. Will net let anybody fish it yet. Also want it to be top bass lake.
