I'll be attending a conference on the Harbour hotel strip just 1 block from DL and as an AP holder will most likely go to the parks at night. Usually my kids are with me and was wondering what I should try to see and do that the kids usually prevent me from doing. I'd like some info on Disney art/museum or different things to see I may have missed. Also is there a good steak house in DTD? Which are the better resturants?

Single rider lines!

Steakhouse - Granville's at the DLH

Unfortunately, the Gallery has been converted into the Dream Suite, so there really isn't a nice gallery anymore (some stuff is at Off the Page in DCA and some in Disneyana shop on Main Street).

Adult things to do...are there rides that your kids don't like? How about the Disneyland 50 Years of Magic exhibit? Or just hanging out and enjoying some of the live entertainment, like the piano player at Coke Corner, or Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, if they have a late show. At the exit to the 50 Years of Magic show there's an exhibit of Disneyland art right now. Over at DCA, there's the Snow White exhibit in the Animation Building, which might not be so appealing to kids.

I think the best steakhouse is in the Disneyland Hotel - Steakhouse 55. The Vineyard Room in DCA is a very nice upscale restaurant, and of course if you really want to go all out there's always Napa Rose at the Grand Californian. Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen is also pretty good. I think the Uva Bar would be a great place to sit and eat and people watch, though I haven't eaten there.

I go by myself sometimes, and just enjoy all the things that my wife doesn't like doing. The rides, the shows, etc.

I go by myself 95% of the time.

Best thing to do by yourself: Whatever the heck you want. The best part of going by yourself is you can decide what to see, when to see, how long to see and if you want to do it all over again.

If going by yourself is a rarity, I would defintiely do those things that others may normally prevent you from doing.

I also think it's nice to some of the more "contemplantive" attractions: Mark Twain river boat, the train, the Main St. transportation vehicles, 50th movie on Main Street, StoryBook Land Canal Boats, petting farm...

I like to eat at Hungry Bear because you can find an out of the way place to sit. Can look at lake and TS Island and watch/feed the ducks.

If you go to DCA, I would check out the Snow White 75th anniversary art exhibit in the Animation building.

Thank you. I will be checking out the Snow White art at DCA and will take a little more time looking at the itmes in the lobby of the 50 First Years show. Also Disneyland Hotel - Steakhouse 55 sounds just what I need. This will be very different without the kids, but I am looking forward to it.
