going to disney&uni again! Sep 2011

That is the perfect way to get her to let you buy him a ticket so he can hang out with E. I just was reading a trip report with pictures of a little guy around E's age getting his haircut at the barbershop and I think it would a lot of fun!!

It's definitely a cool thought! We're still in discussions about it all. He had been sort of thinking that this party WAS Halloween, and the realization that there will still be REAL Halloween relaxed him a bit.

I got my second Land's End bathing suit in the mail. The first one is the Grecian suck-you-in one piece model, and while I adore the color, I *feel* horrid in it.

The second is separates, not "control" types, and I ordered a bit smaller than the other one. And I love it. Love!

Not that I've looked AT myself in them, not going to either. Robert will tell me if I'm decent in them and that's all I need. Can't imagine what might happened to my fragile psyche if I looked at myself right now!

However, today I did over 10 miles on the Expresso bike, and while I wasn't sure I was going to survive that, I enjoyed it. Though...I'm wiped out. Had to get food before coming home; the Y had a picnic, but E wanted his face painted and the line took so long we missed the food (we got there late after the workout and his class). Some employees saw me as we were leaving and handed me an apple, guess I looked as wiped out as I felt!

I'm having the shocking urge to actually think about working out while on our trip.

I know that it will all work out.

Don't look at yourself and trust in Robert. We are our own worst critics.

Have you thought about using a recovery drink type of thing? There are some great ones on the market like FRS. It comes in a can and that way you won't let your blood sugar get too low after working out.

Every so often we buy Vitamin Water, or whatever it's called...the one with names like XXX and Power-C, and it's possible they help out. But...I really just need to schedule my workouts differently. Doing them so late in the afternoons, when I know we'll just be starving by the time we get home and then there's still food to cook, is NOT the best idea.

No, those aren't at all what I am talking about. Gatoraide would be better, not great but it is better for recovery. With Scotty so huge in those things I can help you. What about getting something Cliffbars or something along those lines? You are right though that timing is everything on the eating and working out. It's good that they noticed at the Y that you needed it.

Well, something's gotta change, that's for sure!

He's now on break from classes at the Y, so we'll be on our own schedule for my workouts for a little while. Ultimately I might just have to up the gas rations or get a bus pass, and go for my own workout in the mornings, then for his classes in the afternoons.

Your trip is so close now Molly!! Wow!!

I know. And yesterday, word came down from on high (R's work) that the end of our trip might need to change. So here I am, workin' on scenarios!

Robert gets home tonight. He would have been home around 9, but his first flight had to change equipment before even boarding, which would have caused him to miss his second flight (that he'd been upgraded to first class on, poor baby!), and now he gets in near midnight. BUT it's a holiday weekend and that's nice. :)

Oh wow!! How much of your trip do you have to rearrange?

Not quite sure. Still working it out (today we were interrupted by an invite to a 2 year old's b'day party, which was MOST excellent and now I have living-in-a-house envy). Not a *bad* thing, just "we're taking vacation at a bad time for the company, gotta be willing to be flexible" thing.

Well, I am sure that you can work it out. It's just too bad that you have to.

The stress isn't fun (not at all!), but it'll all be worth it. And if DH doesn't have to fly x-country twice in a row, it'll be extra worth it. Even if it costs us a bit of money.

Flexibility is the name of the game with the company! I'd go back to work there in a heartbeat, even when they can be a pain. :)

No, I can imagine it's not with the trip being so close.

I don't know if you've heard about the whole internet tax thing in California or not. From what I hear on the news the company has said that if that doesn't go through they might like to build a couple of facilities here. I hope that if they do they are in this area. We are a very depressed county.

Well....to keep Robert from having to fly allll the way home then allll the way back to the east coast one day later, we manage to change days of flights (and times, but the same route) for me&E, cancel Robert's, added two days of a value resort, and...we've got a half day longer at Universal, one FULL day more at WDW, and then we all go to the airport together, where Robert goes off to work and E and I go home.

And, shockingly, we're making it a bit of a surprise for Eamon. I'm nervous as heck about it (I don't like surprises!), but Robert and I have talked it through, worked out the strategy (not a TOTAL surprise, but a surprising conversation while returning the rental car on the 25th before getting on Magical Express instead of getting on an airplane), and I think it should result in smiles, not stress. (but I still hate surprises)

Talked to three different people at United in the last 2 days, and each person told us different info on the costs associated with changing a rewards/miles flight. But we got it worked out at no cost for me&e, and a future cost, for re"stocking" the miles, for Robert.

Felt like some sort of military operation, though...two computers, one cellphone, and I was taking notes, too. :cool2:

Oh wow that is crazy. I think that this might be an adventurous surprise and it should be a fun one. You are so smart to take notes.

What's funny (or not so much) is that I was just starting to get mentally exhausted, thinking of all the hotels we were visiting on this trip...and now we've added another.

Almost added the dining plan, too, just to try it out (you can get dining plan included with an AP rate without having to make it a "full" package with tickets), but it would have been something like $210, which is more than I would budget for two days, and we'll probably be "dined out" by then, LOL. Maybe we'll regret it, maybe not, who knows?

You know interestingly enough I was wishing I could do a dining plan for our trip but because I am not doing the Disney hotels I don't know that I can do that. It would be perfect for us though.

For your lovebug trip? I *think* that you can get the dining plan if you book a *package* through WDTC. So if you don't already have the Ayres booked, and there's a decent package (but don't you have an AP? or have I lost my mind?), I think it's possible.

I already booked the Ayres. I have a gift certificate for two free nights there. My AP expired but I think I may get another because I am hoping for another trip with the family so it will come in handy. Plus the discounts really pay for it. I have heard a lot of people say that it didn't work for them. I think it will work for is. I shall investigate.

I have basically cleaned, organized, planned, and, er, laundried, all day long (with spells of sitting down and looking at the rather SLOW-moving, not much going on, dis). I need a nap!
