Just saw this on allearsnet.com -- is this a good indication that the sit down restaurants will be very busy? Looks like they are putting in some things to appease the unhappy folks that don't make advanced dining plans, arrive at the resort then find they can't make ressies anywhere. We have always made plans in advance and then changed one or two while we are there -- doesn't look like that will be an option for us this year (leave in 2 days :cool1: )

More Dining Plan Options

Disney Dining Plan Snack or Merchandise Certificate from August 13 - October 7

Guests who choose the two-snack option can redeem the certificate at any Quick Service or Outdoor Foods location or participating Merchandise locations (both snacks must be redeemed at the same time, in the same participating location).

Guests who choose either the pin and lanyard set or Disney poster may redeem the certificate at select Merchandise locations (listed on the certificate).

Yup, it sure does look like they're trying to help guests who didn't plan ahead by providing additional options. I'd probably still elect to travel to a restaurant that has availability rather than taking this option.

I agree I would be very unhappy sitting at POP to use a TS! I do think its great WDW is thinking ahead to help its guests but all the WDW vets know that really its not such a great deal except for the families not wanting to waste park time at a sit down restaurant..
