Hi,

I am new here and I was wondering how the BCV are. I have read the horror stories about them including the Aligator story, which by the way was really cool.

This will be our second trip being DVC members. Our First one last October started out fine my son and wife both became ill after we met some people that just got off the cruise. We had to cut our trip short since hey were so sick.

Any way we are thinking good thoughts about the BCV and hope that it will be great. Can anyone put my fears to rest? Thanks :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Hey BuzzLight

We just returned from our first trip home to BCV. The BCV is our home resort and we LOVED it!!!!!!!!!! We stayed in a one bedroom and it was wonderful. In fact, we stayed three days, took the Disney cruise and stayed two more days and both times the rooms were great.

I too had read the horror stories and was worried but no fear. Everything was clean, no bugs, water pressure great etc... The first time we had an Epcot view and the second time a courtyard view. Both were lovely. In fact the second time we had a corner room and it was much bigger than the first. We say the alligator and lots of large turtles. My DD (age 9) thought this was really cool.

We can't wait to go back and are already planning next year. We have been to WDW in October before and it is our favorite time of the year. Enjoy your trip, and don't forget Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Hey Buzzlight..... I have been to BCV 3 times since it opened and had a wonderful trip each and every time. CM's were wonderful, rooms were beautiful and clean, the atmosphere at this resort is the best and then there is the awesome location. I will also be returning October 3 - 12.

Have a wonderful time!

I would have to agree, there should be no worries about October and BCV.

Terry,

I just notice that you will be there when we are from Oct. 3 thru the 12th, it seems like last May and last October you were there when we were also. I think you must be on the same travel schedule.

By the way could someone fix my countdown timer it seems to be going really slow.

Belle and Rella's Dad.. Too funny! You are right, we were there at the same time both in October and May! Both are great times of the year to go. One of these times we should try and meet and say Hi!

I agree with that countdown, it is very slow!

Just got back on Sunday. Read my comments at this link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=424141

I too had read previous posts so I looked for many of the things that people had pointed out. I actually forgot to address one of them and that was the thermostat. The termostat was fine (very comfortable) and there is also a ceiling fan!

We had a great time so I would not worry at all.

We try to go down to WDW every October because of the Wine and Food Festival. Maybe we should all try to get together foe a beer at the Rose and Crown? Any One game?

We will be there Oct 25 through Nov 1

We had our family trip last November on Thanksgiving Week with 11 at BCV and 6 at the SWAN. Not one complaint from anyone, as a matter of fact the Kids loved the place and do not want to go anywhere else. The adults loved the convenience in walking to EPCOT and MGM with the boat shuttle. The older boys (15 & 14) liked the extra freedom being allowed to go to the 2 parks and the Boardwalk on their own.

We were so pleased with the BCV that we are in the process of purchasing 2 more contracts.

We have plans for Sept. ( use or loose points ) and Oct. for the Food and Wine Fest.

Have a good time on your next trip.

We were there a few weeks ago (rented points) and loved it so much we're looking into buying into DVC now. It's a great resort!!!!

Pam
