Going to a convention, and will have one "free" day. Help me decide what to do!

I'm going to a company convention/retreat June 28 - July 3. I'm arriving a day earlier than my responsibilities at the convention start so that I can have a free day to visit the/a park(s) by myself.

So, I need help deciding what park to visit, or if I should get a one day park hopper and try to marathon a couple of, or all of, the parks.

I just returned on April 12 from a 9 day Disney vacation with my family, but this will be the first time that I've ever been to WDW all alone.

I'm just not sure where to begin planning this out.

Any advise would be me welcome!

Not even a question to debate....go to Epcot and drink all day at the World Showcase...

The time I went by myself before a convention, I got a park hopper and did some of my favorites at each of the parks. It was a lot of fun! Enjoy your time!

I like the way you think!!!!

That was one of the options that was at the top of my list to do.

I was thinking also of doing a park hopper and combing DHS and Epcot (I'm staying at the Dolphin). I mainly was thinking of going to DHS for the Star Wars stuff. I missed most of it, other than a meet and greet with Chewy, when I was there a couple of weeks ago.

There's also a big part of me, though, that gets all upset about the thought of going to Disney and not going to the Magic Kingdom.

The only hopping you need to be doing is from country to country in Epcot drinking.

What did you want to do on your recent trip that the others did not want to do? If I had a day there alone a few months after a long vacation there, I would probably go to Hollywood Studios and ride Star Tours and Tower of Terror, and then go to Epcot to browse the stores and restaurants around Epcot, watch the performers, and eat some snacks. If I still had time and energy, then I would take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Or maybe I would just shop and visit the Magic Kingdom and then go Epcot for the afternoon. I'm not sure.

We didn't get to do Star tours when we were there earlier. The kids were pooped, and just couldn't be bothered to wait in another stand-by line (there was no FP+ availability).

Honestly, I have a few things that I want to ride, but mainly I just want to enjoy being there. I'll get Fast passes for one of the parks for this day, but I really just want to relax and just enjoy being there, and maybe leisurely shop a bit. When we were there at the first of the month, it was our kids first trip. Everything just seemed so rushed. And yes, I know going at the end of June is hardly relaxing with the heat and crowd levels what they will be, but I want to relax as much as I can :)

Oh, and I definitely want to try to get on Soarin. It should be open by the end of June, shouldn't it?

Yup, sounds like a world showcase kind of day.

Soarin' will be open with the new movie. I vote for Epcot. Ride a couple rides, shop and relax around World Showcase, see some of the movies in the pavilions you may have missed or only go to sporadically. I would love that.
