We leave for WDW in 31 days and for the first time will be touring the parks without a bag. My "kids" and now 16 and older so the days of diapers and juice boxes are behind us. Last trip we still carried a backpack but it always seemed to be in the way. So this year we've made the decision - it goes in our pocket or it doesn't go. Im hoping this makes touring easier and should get us thru bag check faster. Any tips for what I should carry in my pockets? I'm thinking my phone, wallet, sun screen, and possible a small charger for the phone?

We went bagless for most of our recent trip. On those days, we carried almost exactly what you stated - sunglasses (on our heads), phone, SPIbelt (instead of a wallet), small sunscreen bottle, and a water bottle. On one or two days my DH carried our DD's autograph book in the pocket of his cargo shorts, but we didn't take the book every day.

We have always gone bagless, even when the kids were small (amazing what you can fit in cargo pants). I would add chap stick or lip balm, and I carry a small pill box with ibuprofen, and bandaids in my wallet.

Phone, sunglasses on my head, and a small handful of pain meds! Everybody carries their own stuff!

I used to go bagless and still carried quite a bit. Phone and extra charger/cord, point and shoot camera and extra batteries, advil in travel container, travel sunscreen, comb, rolaids (too much greasy food messes me up), around my neck is a lanyard with my Annual pass discount card, emergency credit card and cash, bandaids, touring plan, drivers license and insurance card.
I had to wear a belt to hold up my shorts. I also got tired of carrying my poncho and a water bottle in my hands.

Now I am back to my small backpack since it's easier and I don't have a fear of my shorts falling down from everything in them. LOL

Pretty much what you said. I take my phone, cc, small amount of cash, AP card, ID (sometimes these are in a small cloth wallet or little foldover wallet, sometimes just in my pocket if it zips) reading glasses around my neck, sunglasses on my eyes, cap on my head, small pill box with advil/aleve. I don't wear shorts much any more but we were there in March and I found cargo capris were fine. I'll be there in Sept. and normally I wear sundresses when it's that hot so I bought a running belt to wear over my dress - https://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-Eazy..._UL160_SR160,160_&refRID=RKDXM538NTF28S0XJHGG. I bought this one because it has two zipper pockets. If I have to take a poncho or rain jacket, I'll carry it when I go through security then fold it down and stick it under the belt. I might take a little pouch with a carrying string to put it in then attach that to the key ring and still tuck it under the belt. I wear a clear raincoat similar to the ones the CMs wear that has a drawstring hood so I'm covered from head to toe but it doesn't really fold down as small as a poncho. I may decide to carry a few throw away ponchos and just put those in one of the pockets.

I carry
my cell phone
spare battery, or now a spare charger
a zipper pouch that holds my ID, AP and TIW
A small cloth bag that can hold my sunglasses and also is a cleaning cloth for them
Lip gloss

I can't get DW to go bagless. However, I do. I carry:
Sunglasses (on head)
Hat (on head)
Right pocket:
Wallet (have ditched this in the past for just my drivers license as I have everything I need on my magic band technically)
phone
left pocket:
small USB charger and cord (I use either a flat one that is smaller than my phone, or sometimes the ones that are the size of a lipstick box)
Small tube of suncreen for re-application
nook (yes, it fits in my pocket)

And that's pretty much all I need.

I once had a very frustrating day, having gone belt-less with very full pockets on my cargo shorts, so I can relate!
I too have gone back to a very small bag for the essentials most folks are listing here. A short wait at bag check is the price I'm willing to pay for what is for me a convenient day.

I have been going bagless for several years, and don't own a pair of cargo pants. I used to have a small pouch type necklace big enough for a credit card. I carried some cash, glasses (they stuck out at the top but was ok), bandaids, and our pills in a very small plastic bag. I could tuck it into my shirt and go right through baggage check. Now I stick these items in my pockets or husband carries them. It is great to not have to carry a bag. I also never carry a phone while in the parks; just want to get away from all that. I carry my fp and adr's notes on a small piece of paper which goes into my pocket. Love it!

So you can get away with a spibelt without going through bag check? That's scary!

A small sunscreen is the only thing we carry besides personal everyday items like our phones and sunglasses.

We go bagless as well. Cargo shorts are a wonderful invention! And in this day and age we prefer to spend as little time around the checkpoints as possible.

Here's what I carried: chapstick, small wallet with a small amount of cash, one cc and one disney gc, phone, bluetooth earpiece for phone (I had to be able to take work calls on occasion), snack ziplock with a few bandaids and motrin. My DS (adult) carried the battery charger for our phones in his cargo shorts. He was also able to carry two ponchos in those cargo pockets on the one day we took them with us.

Got to walk through every time. He did have to go through metal detectors the day he had the ponchos in his pockets--I guess they thought he had too much stuff.

I have one that I love, but I never tried getting through the no bag entrance. Wonder how that would work. I mean, it's very small, can't fit much in it. But, you could fit a small weapon in it.

I sucked it up this last trip and spent the money and got some decent cargo shorts with deep pockets. I don't carry a lot to the parks anymore. All that was in my pockets was my phone, lip balm, car keys (we drive to the parks), and a small wallet type thing that had my ID and my WDW passholder card.

I would be really happy to wear cargo shorts since they tend to go down to your knees but women's cargo shorts, when you can find them have a silly little useless cargo pocket that wouldn't even hold a phone. I do have a couple of pairs of boys that I bought but boys don't have hips and I do and mama got back, which boys don't usually have so they end up looking like I'm busting slack.

Technically, I could fit a small weapon in the pocket on my shorts too. I'm sure most could since if they can hold a phone, they can hold a weapon

That's what sparkle skirts are for :)
