Going over my numbers again.. tell me if I can cut this down at all

Plane Tickets 718
Hotel in Buffalo 89
Rental Car 152
Accommodations 1215
Food (groceries) 100
Spending money 800 (100 a day and a little just in case)
Tickets 1106

TOTAL 4180 for 7 days

Seems high to me.. how can I reduce this.
fyi my accommodations are almost paid off and the spending money has been almost all been saved, tickets are bought, plane tickets are bought. but it just seems high to me........ what do you all think can it be cut down?

I am assuming you are staying on-site. If so this is a good deal and I can't see places to cut but if you are staying off-site, you could do much better on accomadations. We got a 2 bedroom condo for $300 canadian a week...That's all I see.

Yes we are staying on site.. we are staying at the FW cabins for 7 nights got it for 155 a night and then tax.
Thanks!

It doesn't seem to high to me either. I think you might be a little to low in some areas. $100/day for food, snacks, souvineers, tips, tolls, locker rental(water park), and all that little stuff that creeps up on you might not be enough.

Glad your sw credit worked out for you- I knew I had read where others got the credit.

We thought a 100 day was ok because we are not buying any meals but one chef Mickeys breakfast. The rest of the meals I will make myself

The 100 is really just for things to take home and an occasional snack. Do you still think that is short?

If that does not include meals than that will be more than enough.

I know what you mean about the overall price though. It just seems so high for a vacation especially after you convert it, but it is worth it and once you get past a certain point there is no way to keep trimming the costs.

In order to offer some suggestions you might want to tell us who is going?

How many adults, and how many children?

You've got a car rental... And 1106 for tickets. What kind of tickets, and for how many days? Do you plan to go offsite? If you do, then maybe you don't need 7 day tickets (don't know if you have 7 days or less). If you don't plan to go off site, then maybe you can drop the car off once you've arrived, or take the shuttle there.

This could free up a couple of dollars for you.

Also, any chance that you might be going again in the next year...if so, annual passes make good sense.

Course with thr fact that most has already been purchased, it leaves very little room for modification.

There is 5 of us going, 3 are kids we got 5 day park hopper passes all purchaced in advance with Ticket Mania actually I have one more to buy but I am waiting to see if CAA puts them cheaper.

The car rental is a full size with alamo, it was $152 with all the fees. January 26-February 2nd

Thanks!
Kathleen

For the size of your entourage I would say you are very optamistic about your daily budget. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to do your own meals especially when you find out what the average meal will be once your inside the parks. This is not to say they are not in line with other theme parks. Their prices are average in that regard. I would tend to believe you will want to do more on your first trip to Disney and see and do it all; but you really can't do this unless you've done your research "THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO WALT DISNEY WORLD" and this board are great ways to get the best bang for your buck on your first trip to WDW. I think you will want to treat yourself a little bit more especially in the souvinier department and snacks. Boy those snacks can really add up after being on your feet for 10 hours a day you will want more than a granola bar between meals. You should keep your eyes open at Wall-Mart or the DISNEY store for any deals on DISNEY T-shirts or Disney towels or Things you will probably end up buying down there anyways; put them aside for your trip. DON'T do this with your stuffed toys. There really is no comparison to the quality of their stuffed toys in the parks and realy treat your kids in that area They will keep them forever. I don't want to get you worried about this but we found that once we were there the gloves came off and we spent spent spent (thinking this may be our one and only trip to DWD). We only became Disney junkies in need our fix once a year. Be sure to budget at least 1 or 2 good evening meals out. It cost alot more than making it yourself but it really make you feel like your on VACATION.

KISSAMEE has a big wall mart/ grocery store, make a trip there on your first night and buy all your food stuffs and bottled water and pop etc. you can probably save alot in that department alone. They also have alot of good Disney things but again stay away from the stuffed toy's they are not the same quality and only a few dollars less.
Oh yeah. Buy your film and extra batteries for the camara here in canada. You will pay about 3 times the price in the parks should anything be required. You will want to take alot of pics for sure.

Enough said. hope you have a magical moment on our tip to DWD.
