I get a mani/pedi and eyebrows waxed every two weeks so that's routine. I also get my hair colored or highlighted every 10-12 weeks. I shave every other day too.
I will spend more time on my hair and probably blow it out. If it's a very special occasion (bc we usually are out every weekend doing something) I'll go to the salon and get it blown out or curled. I'll put on makeup and a nicer outfit.
My SO gets a haircut every two weeks. He'll put on a nicer outfit and shoes. That's about it.

Meh - it's pretty easy to tidy up any melted eyeliner, sweep on a little pressed powder and put on some lipstick - 5 minutes tops to freshen up. And yeah, the nails are simple too, not super-long or done up with nail art or sparkles or whatever - I just mostly keep them polished with a light, pearly shade that wears well. With a special outfit I'll go bolder. Funny story: When my DS was born I was completely overwhelmed; I had really no idea what a newborn was all about. A friend from work dropped by unexpectedly about 10 days into my leave. We had a fairly nice visit but she seemed weirdly upset when she left. The next day she called with a bunch of advice about postpartum depression - she was extremely concerned that I was going off the deep end because she'd never once, ever before seen me without nail polish.
But someday I will be, and I don't expect to change. My own beloved Mother died 6 months ago at age 99. She was similarly fastidious.
We had the funeral home bring in a stylist to touch up her dye-job (always a beautiful coppery-red) before the visitation. (Nope - not kidding!)
