Going on rides in your wedding dress?

So my two dream weddings have been doing a drive-thru wedding in Vegas with my mom and in-laws to be in the back seat of a convertible, or a Disney wedding.. yeah, Disney's going to win this battle, hands down.

But since it's my dream wedding, and since it's only going to happen ONCE, I've decided I don't care too much what happens to my dress. After the ceremony, I want to run Magic Kingdom in my wedding dress. Imagine getting a Splash Mountain photo with me and my sweetie in the front trying to hold my dress down as we woosh down the fall and our parents in the back? I want it! But is it possible? Maybe it's a dumb question, but does Disney allow this to happen? I thought they might have some rule against being in the parks in wedding attire to prevent people from marrying inside the parks without paying the price.

Is my Disney dream doomed?

I hope im not the ultimate bearer of bad news but you cant do that. Yyou cant wear your wedding dress to the MK unless you have an MK wedding. From what I hear those dont happen all that often. They did, however, just put into place where you can get an MK wedding for $25000 and then all your food minimums and such. But as for just going to the MK and taking photos in your wedding dress-- Disney does not allow wedding dresses in their parks whatsoever unless you are getting married at the time.

Unfortuantely the only way you can be in the park in your dress is if you have a photo shoot scheduled with a disney photographer, and they only do these while the park is closed. Disney has a rule that wedding parties can not wear wedding attire in the parks.

Drat! I thought that might be the case. Oh well.. I want a long engagement, so I've got time to come up with something new.

How about going to another theme park, getting the pic in your dress, and telling everyone it was at Disney! That would be a howl! Tee hee

I completely agree-- I would love to do just what you were saying. But maybe a bridal photo shoot at the MK one morning would work out for you. You cant get on any rides while they are active but maybe you could get your photo made near splash mountain? I dont know if they would do that-- i havent seen that on the list of places they do take photographs near but its worth a shot to ask!

Another theme park would be hilarious! But I'd probably be thinking of Disney and it would be hard to hide the tears in my eyes.


Can I be in my wedding dress if we rent the water sprites and zip around the lake in them? We could get pics of my hair frizzed out and crazy, maybe my dress up over my head, with the castle in the background!


Hmmm... maybe I can get a velcro costume dress that I can pull out of a bag once I'm on Splash Mountain. I can throw it around my front and velcro it in place before the ride is over.


Do they take pictures on Space Mountain at Disney World? It's been a long time since I've been there, but I know they do at Disneyland.

What if her dress wasn't big and poofy? Some people like simple white dresses. Couldn't you just say it wasn't a wedding dress but a sun dress or something?

heres a thought....when we got married we rented a boat in the baordwalk lagoon & we trollied around & got a picture w/tower of terror in the background.....& we could have gone in the epcot lagoon, but we were about an hour to late cause they started setting up for illuminations....

Thats pretty darn close without going in the park!!

Its a cool thought, but think of how mangled & dirty your dress would get.

That's not a bad idea, too.. but it's more about going crazy and having a kick *** time while I'm still in the dress. I don't care if it gets dirty or mangled a bit. I figure I'm only wearing it once, I'm getting my money's worth!

While a wedding dress is not allowed ....has anyone asked about MNSSHP?? Adults can wear costumes (even princess ones)...so depending on what your dress looked like (how bridal) you might be able to get away with it.....Have a Halloween wedding and let us know

When I think of Halloween brides, I think of gothic with a lot of dark makeup.
