Hi

We are also going in June. The weather will be very very hot and humid (we usually go in September so this will be a bit of a shock for us!) From what I can gather it usually rains in the afternoons (though not every afternoon) but as soon as the showers are over the sun is out and it's like it never rained. I have read quite mixed things regarding the crowds in June. Some people say it is horrible but others say it is a lot better than Easter when it is VERY busy. I must admit the thought of massive crowds and 100% humidity don't fill me with joy but, i don't think there is anywhere else in the world that I would put up with it except WDW!!!

I hope you have a great time!

We're going in June too!

We've been twice in August and coped quite well with the heat - just made sure we drank loads of water (we hate the taste of US tap water so we went via the supermarket and bought gallons of bottled water and refilled 750ml ones that we carried to the parks each day with us).

We went in September last time and felt the atmosphere was a lot 'flatter' as there were far less people so I'm actually hoping it is reasonably busy

Hi Guys

The very first time I went to WDW, was in June. The weather was hot and humid and there was the occasional downpour, but nothing to bad at all. I have to say the year we went the crowd levels in June were fine, certainly much better than Easter, July and Christmas. Im sure you will enjoy it as we had a wonderful time.

Happy Planning. :goodvibes

Our 1st visit was end of May & beg of June & we had much better weather than in August. It did rain but less than August.

our pool was always lovely & warm.

As others have said the weather will be hot, you will get afternoon thunderstorms and the parks will be fairly busy too.

The pool should be fine and pool heating is not usually required in June, especially if it is south facing and gets the sun all day.

There are several places to buy your tickets and we all have different opinions, however we bought ours in Kissimmee from www.mapleleaftickets.com.

Personally June (or July) would not be an ideal time to go, unfortunatley we have to go in August because of the school holidays, so naturally it will be very hot for us too.
I think if you get to the parks early , break for lunch and if you want to return early evening you should miss the worst of the crowds and weather, despite the fact this advice is obvious so to speak, you would be surprised how many people arrive late morning when potentially the weather and crowds are much higher.

thanks guys and girls

one more question i am staying off site and i been reading posts about disney character meals how do i find out information like booking and cost of these and can i book online before we go or is it only available to on site guests

we went last week of may 1st week of june in 2004.
I did not rain once, the parks particularly IoA and US were alot quieter than we expected and managed to get everything done some things twice.. :)
The weather was a shock, everyone tells you about the heat and humidity but you really cant understand until you get there what its like... But if I had to explain I would say its like walking into a humid hot bathroom, and never walking out for 2 weeks, than god for air conditioning :rotfl:
(Because my son has very bad asthma we had to avoid too much AC!!
Do you have kids with you? We did Chef Mickeys which was brilliant and adrs for fantasmic at Mama Melroses, which was ok but nothing special.
Whatever you do have a fab time
love

Hi Lee,

We love doing characater meals though my children are a little younger than yours.

Anyone can do these, you don't have to be staying onsite. Prices vary but as a rough rule of thumb, expect to pay $16 per adult (anyone over 9!) for breakfast, $22 for lunch and $26 for dinner. Prices don't include tax and tip. There have been lots of threads recently about these meals and which ones people enjoy so I will just get the links for you and post back here :)

Following recommendations on these boards, we had a breakfast at Chef Mickey's last year on a Thursday at around 9.30am on a non-park day and also a meal at Hollywood and Vine in MGM on a Thursday.

Both were fantastic and we will be trying more resturants this time.

You can also get good info on meals at Allears.

As far as the weather goes, it will be wet. It will rain almost every day. Go to walmart and buy some rain poncho's. June is one of the wettest months according to simon's book.

If it rains early in the day, and it did last year, then go to universal. There are lots of rides that are inside. We did this and there were no queues. AK is bad on a wet day.

On the days when it doesn't rain early, it will be very hot and humid. It's like having a hot hairdrier blowing in your face. You will be running from air conditioned building to another. Thank goodness for air con. Drink plenty.

take a spare pair of trainers, so your others can dry out. We were stood in a queue for Mickey's autograph when the heavens opened, and the water was running down the back of our legs into our trainers!!! Saying that though, the rain and temperature is very warm.

Despite a lot of rain on last visit, we had a great time.

We're going in October this year and hoping for less rain and more sun.

We are going June 10th so fingers crossed it will be ok too!. Last time we went was 15th May 2004 and we had no rain and very hot. Low crowds for the first week and busier the 2nd.

So heres hoping you (& we) have a great time in June.
