You'll have a great time no matter what the weather brings. Plan for rain and heat, drink LOTS of water, don't push yourself too hard, take advantage of air conditioning and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Sometimes we forget that.
We're going (and by "we" I mean My wife, myself and out two daughters) June 5 - 11 this year. This thread has really helped me out A LOT. When I was younger my parents used to pull me out of school to go on vacation, so I've never been to WDW in June.
I was kinda expecting it to rain a little each day, though. I've read/heard anywhere from half-an-hour up to 2 hours of rain... then blazing heat. Any truth to that?
WDW is lovely in June! (It's all about the attitude, baby! I'm a skin cancer survivor--hate the sun--and melt in heat/humidity, and I'm going mid-June!)
You'll be fine--everything is air conditioned--Disney can't have people passing out left and right, now, can they?
Follow the advice of all the previous posters--they have great ideas for coping.
We are at OKW from the 5th to the 10th. My DS (6) and I plan on spending some time at the pools in the afternoons. Maybe our kids will be able to swim together. Can't wait to go......Our very first trip.
We've been in June before, and during a Spring Break that began with Easter. Easter was much more crowded than June. I swore I would never go back during Easter. We are going back this June. I hope you won't be disappointed!
