Hi- We are planning a trip for Dec. 06. We are not firm on the dates yet. We are looking at the 1st or 2nd wk, and we would like to get 2 adjoining rooms at ASMO.
When you are this far out, what do you usually book first w/o knowing your dates. I'm afraid of booking the rooms and then not being able to find a decent priced flight for those particular dates.

Any suggestions or opinions welcome! :sunny:

I believe the time frame you want the same time as cheerleading competition or pop warner something. I tried booking the same at AS Sports and couldn't get in because it was already booked. We are going 12/12-12/19 and booked our trip this past January. December is becoming more popular because of the holiday events going on at Disney. I still haven't booked my airfare yet because the cost is extremely high right now. My advice to you is book your room early, you have plenty of time to find some great deals on airfare. I am waiting for Southwest or JetBlue to release their December dates. Try travelocity and sign up as a member. They will track fares from your hometown for you and email your any fare alerts. Download Ding from Southwest onto your computer- they come up with some great deals also. Try bestfare.com or kayak.com- they have some great deals for airfare. If you are staying onsite you are offered Disney's Magical Express and you can arrange this I believe up until 10 days before your departure to Disney World so you still have plenty of time to get a flight to Disney.

DEB-I'd say, logically, the room. Here's why: If you call and can't get a room WHERE you want for WHEN you want, you'd have to change your travel dates. This far out, it costs no money to change a room reservation. However, to change an airline ticket can cost $$.

That's JMHO, of course.

You can book a room now and make an airline reservation months from now...though when travelling during a busy time, I always like to book everything early.

Make a reservation for the room, don't put down a deposit and then find out about airfare. If you can't find something for the dates you want just let your room reservation "expire".

I agree, make a deposit on your land package and keep an eye on the air. I did that. I'm going the 9th to the 17th. Delta wants $652.00 for air from Bradley for the flights I want (I don't think so!!!!) And the flights aren't even booked, they are playing with the inventory.

Good luck!
