Going Home for the First time this Weekend!

Although our "home" is VB, I surprised my wife a couple of months ago by booking a stay at VWL and a cruise on cash for our 15th anniversary (without the kids). I can hardly wait! My only regret is since we just bought DVC this winter, I will probably fall in love with VWL, and cannot at this time afford an add-on.

We have gone to WDW for many years, and it is truly our favorite place on earth. We are even more excited that it is now a "home away from home for us".

Thank you to all of you for your advice and information. It made me feel good about the choice I had been wanting to make for years. Hopefully in the future I can be a more meaningful contributor as I "return home". Only 3 more days to go!!

I know the feeling about VWL. I did do an add-on. I couldn't help myself. But, hey, you got a reservation at VWL with your VB points for this trip. If you love VWL, just plan some more trips on those points! That is what I loved about the DVC method of timeshare.

I'm sure that you are going to have a great time. Please come back and share it with us when you return and then tell me all about the cruise. I've never been on a cruise and now with DVC I just might have to try it sometime.

We'll be there next week at VWL also and it's our first trip "home". We'll be in the Spike Room at 2pm on 5/24 if you can make it!

We may or may not make the 2:00 Spike room meeting. That is the day we leave the Wonder - it is also our Anniversary. We're thinking about doing Kennedy Space Center that day after the cruise - neither of us has ever been there. 2:00 may be pushing it to get back to VWL. We will be there that evening though!

Hey TC - who's the babysitter? I have a soon to be 14 son and a 15 month old daughter! I agree that you are both brave and gracious to offer your home for a meet. Still checking with DW - she's a bit shy around people she doesn't know well.

DW and I depart from "The Big Easy" @ 6:45am on Sunday. Our first time as members and we're brining my folks (if they're good..lol). I'll be on the look out for any lime green ribbons. I'm so excited I'm about to bust.

Regarding the May 27th cookout, only friendly people have been invited, so shy people shouldn't have a problem. My DD Sarah (11yo) who just completed the Red Cross babysitting course is anxious to put those skill to work. It turns out that our DS James (13yo) does NOT have a Boy Scout meeting that evening, so he'll be there to entertain as well (or else!!!). Still hoping that you can make it. But after a whirlwind WDW vacation, I will understand it if you can't be there. Have a great trip!!!

Lynn, I was confused at first, but finally figured out that you mean your last name is brothers - not that you're "brothers"!
