Going from MGM to Epcot... easiest way

Take the boat. You can take a bus but we've always been able to change between MGM & EPCOT by boat. It will take you via the Swan, Boardwalk & Beach Club.

We took the bus. They come frequently and it is just a 10-minute ride.

We liked the boat. It is so relaxing and beautiful! :)

If you walk, you can check out the Boardwalk area resorts on the way.

Another vote for walking. It's a lovely walk and after stumping through a park (what my sister calls 'the mall walk'), it's nice to be able to stretch out your stride, swing those arms and move. ;) It's also a lovely stroll, if that's more to your liking. And the boat is a great break if you are beat ::yes::

I vote boat from the international gateway. It is a nice ride and you will be doing plenty of walking if you are trying to do both parks in one day- so take the boat.

I've done the walk and the boat but didn't know there was a bus.

I'd say for the FASTEST, probably the bus.

If you are tired, then the boat is good. It takes a long time though. It's slow boat and it will stop at Swan/Dolphin, B/C, Boardwalk, and then finally Epcot. It takes at least 20 minutes or more.

If you are not tired, then the walk is a bit quicker then the boat. My DH always beats us if we take the boat and he walks. The walk is approx 15 minutes if you are a good walker; 20 minutes of you are tired at all.

Nice weather? Walk. It's very pleasant and only about 20 minutes at a moderate pace. I have made it in about 13 minutes but I was speed walking!! If it's hot/humid/rainy then I would take the boat.

I would vote for the boat UNLESS it is hot, muggy and you have a sleeping 2 year old. We do not take her stroller because of the hassle getting on buses, monorail, etc. (we rent) But the boat was CROWDED and she was asleep, we were BOTH sweating (yuck)!! I made for an awful ride!!!

We enjoy the walk! The boat ride usually ends up taking longer than the walk if the boat isn't already there. We've also taken the bus & it can be the quickest when one shows up quickly - for some reason, we've had bad luck with this bus not showing up for 30 minutes at a time & we don't usually have bus troubles. :)

Does anyone know if there is stroller rental available at the International Gateway? Or is the only rental location at the main entrance?

Much thanks! ::MinnieMo

it probably depends where you are going..bus to fw, boat to ws. that way you don't have the added trek through epcot

We took the boat from Epcot to MGM last week. It was about a 25 minute trip (the boat captain announced that once we were on board). I do not recommend the very back of the boat. DS wanted to sit out there and it is loud, hot, and the exhaust fumes are thick. As soon as we reached the Swan we jumped up and went inside the cabin area. Other than that it is fine! :)

If you do take the bus, you will still be a mile from most of the world showcase. So like another poster said, if you're going to World Showcase, use the boat or walk. If you're going to Future World, then the bus would be the fastest.
