Hi all - I'm new to the board but can't wait to read all the posts (ok, probably not all) and all the info I can about DW for my first trip. I'm staying at the Beach Club December 13 - 18, then for 10 more days at a private rental with my sister and her family. They are taking a Disney cruise the 14-18 so I'll be able to do one park each before meeting up with them. We are also doing MVMCP on the 18th. I'll have a total of 11 days in the parks. We are also going to try to get an Illuminations Cruise.

Decorating the door and window are cute ideas.

What are the pros/cons of taking my own stroller? My DD will be 10 months old by then but I can't seem to justify the expense of a stroller for 11 days.

Other than the obvious rides with height restrictions, are there other rides I shouldn't take my DD on?

:santa:

Let me be the first to Welcome you to the Disboards!! :cheer2:

I envy you staying at the Beachclub - my DBFF's daughter & grandson just returned and loved it! The resort is amazing (they said) and loved the pool. I will be staying at the Boardwalk Villas from 12/13-12/20/08 and have a boardwalk view so will be able to look over at the BC. I hope to get tickets for the MVMCP but haven't bought them yet. My plans on who I am taking may change (I originally invited my BFF but we haven't been talking much lately and our friendship may be fizzling out :sad2: so if that is the case, I am planning on taking my DS(15) and DS(30).

As far as renting a stroller, I would highly recommend it. I am hoping my DD & DGS will join me in December if my boys don't want to go and we will definitely rent a stroller. My grandson is 10 mos old now and I would rather rent a stroller than take one (altho my daughter says differently since he has gotten used to his own). As far as rides, I would recommend Winnie the Pooh, IASW, Carousel, Mickey's Toontown (of course, not the roller coaster ride there), Jungle Cruise might not be too scary, the Railroad. Peter Pan's Flight & Snow White tend to be a little scary for small children (some have said here on the Boards). I think the Safari at AK may be fun but the truck definitely bounces you around a bit so you may take that into consideration. Definitely seeing all the animals in the Trails will be fun too! I've never taken a little one so I will be interested in everyone else's suggestions so I know what to take my grandson on too!

I hope you enjoy looking at as many threads on here as you can before you go for lots of friendly tips and helpful hints to make your trip as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I'm not sure if you have been to WDW before but if this is your first trip, have a blast!
