There's a big sale this weekend on gowns, so I am officially going to start my hunt! My mom and sisters are coming down and everything!! :hyper: Any suggestions?
Anyone have pictures of your gowns? I want to look like a disney princess!! princess:

My dress is from David's Bridal, style 9004 (I think)

Your dress is beautiful! I am planning on going to David's Bridal. I also loved your wedding website! It was very informative. I had not seen some of the sites that you had listed. Thanks!:wave2:

:hyper: I bet you are so excited, I'm excited for you :teeth:

My advice, don't get frustrated if the first or second dress that you try on isn't 'the one'!!! I remember when I went dress shopping I could barely find my size none the less the style I wanted............try on all sorts of different styles, wedding dresses aren't like normal dresses what you think you look good in normally might be different when searching for the perfect wedding dress. It took me 3 months of spending all my weekends in Indianapolis trying to find my dress and I finally found it, when I tried it on I knew it was the right one and was happy that I didn't take the other ones that I kind of liked.

Take your time and don't let people rush you (David's Bridal), and enjoy the whole experience. princess:

You can kind of see my dress in my picture on my signature, it was very traditional, long sleeves, with a ball gown.

Have fun shopping for your dress. I found mine in right off the bat. It was our first time out, and my mother and grandmother picked it out. I didn't really care for it..until I tried it on. After I tried it on, I realized it was the one. I tried on a couple others because I didn't think it could be that easy, but it was.

Here is a link to a picture, which doesn't do the dress justice, but it was the only one I could find online.

Good luck and have fun!

Ellie, I have seen that dress before and I absolutely love it, however, I am hesitant to get strapless. Did you have a problem with keeping your dress where it was suppose to be? I would just hate to have to keep pulling up my dress all day. I am sure that there is some kind of solution to that problem, but I haven't found it yet.:teeth:

inloveindisney- I thought I was going to have that problem with pulling it up all day too however it was not bad at all. I think because of it being corsette style and I was able to tie it as tight as I wanted in the back it allowed the dress to stay right were it was. I absolutely LOVE my dress. I actually had to preserved with my jewerly head piece and viel. Waiting for my daughter to one day marry.

Did you see Maggies New Dresses. I absolutely love the Dynasty Dress as well as the Enchanted dress.
If you go to the offical site they have all of Maggies dresses.

Just note that after I purchased my dress I was still going to other bridal shops for a dress for my mother and low and behold I found a bridal shop that was selling a mock dress of the one I purchased for 525.00 less. I could not believe it!!! I could tell once I fully looked at every detail that it was not a Maggie however there was not much difference at all. So do shop around first before you decide on a dress and if you do like Maggie dresses go to a bridal shop and tell them that you like the Maggie style and if they have any Mock dresses of the same style that you would like to look at them.
Good Luck with your search.

Believe it or not, I was just looking at Maggies site. I LOOOVE the Dynasty too. That is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I am going to try to find it this weekend. I hope it looks as good on as it does in the picture.

OMG if you get that dress I WANT to see pictures. That dress is STUNNING and Im sure the price is as well. LOL!!!
Did you do a search on the site to see if they had a bridal store near you that carries Maggie Dresses??? If so call those stores and see which ones has it in this way you are not going nuts looking for it.

Don't worry, I plan on taking a picture of every dress (unless they're horrid). Scrapbook pictures! Then, I can remind myself of them when I get home!
If I find that dress, I will post it.

OOOOOOOO I cant wait to see them:teeth: :teeth: . I feel like a Disney Bride all over again. LOL!!!

Maggie dresses are beautiful, I tried on two myself.

I found my dress the first day I looked, it was one of the first I tried on.

Don't worry about the strapless thing, most dresses come with a "dress within a dress" now, and that is fitted with velcro and such to you and then the dress zippers over that. That is how mine is and it fits wonderfully.

Here is a link to my dress, this picture does it absolutley no justice, the beading on it is unbelievable, but it gives you a pretty good idea! It is by Forsyth, and all of their dresses are very princessy too! It doesn't look it but the ball skirt bottom is huge and I am wearing two petticoats under it!

I noticed you mentioned taking pictures of the dresses you try on, just a heads up, I tried that and they wouldn't let me unless I was buying it. I think that is so rotten!

Good luck shopping...unless you already found the one...and keep us posted!

Ooo Jenny that is a beautiful dress very princessy. Very true on the photos I wasn't allowed to take any until I had bought. One shop I went to didn't even post their pictures of dresses online because they were so concerned about copycats.... good grief.

I love the Maggie dresses too they are so beautiful and I love the Dynasty oh and I just had to have a snoop at the Enchanted Ellie, I could really imagine you in that dress - you're gonna have to get married again ;)

I can't post a link to my dress as there are too many prying eyes (wedding guests) on the DIS ;) but if anyone does want to see my dress then please PM me and I'll send you a link to it.

So inloveindisney - how did the dress shopping go?

jennycee- The dress is absolutely beautiful and you are correct about the pictures never giving the dresses any justice. You are going to be one beautiful bride and I cant wait to see pictures.

Fantasia Sam- How I wish I could get that Enchanted dress by Maggie. I have been showing my 12 year old daughter it for a couple of days now hoping she would say well when I get married maybe I will want to wear that. It would give me a reason to buy it because as for me getting married again, thats funny. I have been with my now husband for 16 years and we are so attached it isnt even funny to some. We are like to big kids. We will however be renewing our vows in Disney in 2005. I know I know you probably think we are nuts to do it so soon but we had sooooooo much fun at our wedding that we figured as long as we can swing it why not renew them every 2 years. I didnt want to tell everyone because some people have crappy opions about things like this but I dont care. Im enjoying my life, my daughter thinks it great and we all have the times of our lives.

For my vow renewal I will not be wearing a huge wedding dress like I did for my wedding. I will chose something elegant but more simple. We are looking to have the vow renewals for 2005 at the Yacht Club Gazebo with a beach party afterwards. However if not many people are able to attend it would be the Yachtmans steakhouse for us afterwards and then of course dessert party.

I cant wait till you get married Fantasia Sam. I cant wait for you to come back and tell us all about it. Im so excited for you. I wish I was going to be there to see you. One never knows :teeth:
You may see lurking eyes from afar :earseek:
You will be there at my favorite time of the year. The flowers are incredible and the weather is perfect. Star Wars weekend is going on as well as the flower and garden festival.
Yes Im daydreaming:cool:
Fantasia Sam- I sent you and email so that you may send me a pic. of your dress. I cant wait to see it. Im sure it is STUNNING.

Jennandsg - I love that Maggie dress I think I even tried it on as I thought it would be wonderfully lightweight for a Summers morning wedding sadly it didn't look half as good as it does on you - you're going to look stunning :)

Ellie - LOL I don't think your mad at all to have a VR and you know how biased I am towards the YC Gazebo ;)

jennandsg- Beautiful Maggie dress and it looks georgous on you. By the way if all the other pics are of you as well you are one cute chickie. LOL!!

Fantasia Sam- Thanks for send me that pic of your wedding dress. It is incredibly beautiful and so different. As I told you in the email I sent you, your husband will be in awweee as well as all your guest.
Also thanks for not thinking of me as being mad LOL!!! I figure you have only one life so one better live it they way they want and not how others think, and boy that is what I have been doing. Do you notice your counter is down to 116 days. :earseek:

thanks, :) those are me. They are pretty old (4 years I think). I should probably take them off.

Well, I went to David's Bridal and found 2 gowns that I absolutely loved for many different reasons, however, I couldn't figure out how to post the pictures of them. Then, I went to the Bonny site and found one that I absolutely loved and I am working on trying to find a store that has it. It is style number 415 here: http://www.bonny.com/bonny1.html
How gorgeous would this be with a red rose bouquet?! I never thought I would get one with color, but as soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it. Tell me what you think.:hyper:

This one looks very similar to one that I saw at david's. I felt like a princess when I tried it on:
http://www.bonny.com/bonny/416.html

The other one is on page 2 of http://weddings.theknot.com/wedding...d=821&gowntype=1&path1=&path2=designer&page=2
It is the one in the very middle that looks like a Romeo and Juliet gown.
These are all very different and I like them all for different reasons. It is so hard to choose
