Hi everyone, we are going to be there dec 6-12, staying at BW. We have tix to MVMCP on the 9th. Other than that, we have no plans. My birthday is the 6th, I was wondering if the restaurants do anything for birthdays? (I really want to go to crystal palace and have dinner with the winnie the pooh characters:D ) Any suggestions? Also, what days to go to each park? Thanks, maggie

We did the crystal palace for breakfast and a birthday;

The breakfast is a buffet, eggs/omlets cooked to order, fruit, pancakes, donuts, muffins, the works...

Pooh, Eeyore and piglet were there.

It was my DH's birthday, he was sung to by the staff and all the characters signed a birthday card and gave it to him.

Just make sure the waitstaff knows it's your birthday.

We also had breakfast at the Grand Floridian; food was the same.
Alice, Mary Poppins and Pooh were there. The restaurant isn't as open as the CP and it's harder for the characters to get to you.

Check your library for "Birnbaum's guide to the parks" for details on all the restaurants that have character meals.

They ALL will treat you well for your birthday, maybe you should even invest in an "it's my birthday" pin.

We went last year during the same week, the weather was warm in the daytime but got very cool at night-be prepared.

:jester:

Hope you have a great birthday-
cj/nj.

We are going to WDW the first week in December as well. You mentioned it was usually warm in the day. Was it ever warm enough to swim? I'm considering buying only Park Hoppers rather than PLUS since I'm not thinking we will be going to any water parks with cold temps

We had access to a heated pool.
I know blizzard beach isn't heated-i think typhoon lagoon is.
Most resorts in Florida have heated or indoor pools, or a jacuzzi-
without that, yes, I think was a little on the cool side for swimming.

the kids tried to swim in the lake,
but did not last very long,
they came home saying the water was just too cold!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Hi bquick. We're going the 2nd week in Dec had the same thoughts-- only getting PH, instead of PHP because we figured we wouldn't do the water parks. We're only going for 5 nights and never have been to WDW so we'll have lots of other stuff to do. And the resort pool should be enough. Diane.

bquick....we go every year at this particular time. This year we'll be there from 11/28-12/13. We're from New England, so we swim in most Florida weather, but choose not to spend the time at the water parks because swimming and spending a day at a water park are two different things. Besides, one of the parks is usually closed during this time. If you're going to be there for more than six days consider an annual pass. It might save you money and gives you the possibility of returning sometime next year. We'll be at the Swan because my husband loves the "Candlelight Processional" and we usually do it several times during our stay. Don't miss that!! Have a great time!
