Going back to where it all started- Sept. 2010 PTR

I loved looking at your honeymoon pictures, ya'll look so precious together! You were a beautiful bride & you havn't aged a bit the past 10 yrs! That is something special that you were able to wear your mothers dress.

For your list:
#3 - I'm still jealous of
#4 - That is the most important one for me!

You are SO sweet... I wish I saw myself that way!! It was so much fun looking at them again last night with Todd and sharing them with you guys!!:cutie:

I have to agree with #4...as Moms, that is the BEST!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to share the wedding and honeymoon pictures! They are beautiful!!! :goodvibes

You so won't miss us in the parks for sure! We're pretty loud and recognizable for sure! LOL!! be sure to say hi if you do see us!!!!!!:goodvibes

9. possible DIS meets!

I need to go back and look at your schedule compared to mine to see if we're in any of the same parks on the same days. Now that I'm solo, "bumping" into other DISers is easy!

4 weeks from today I'll be busy running the boys to school, Cole will be home with me "helping" me pack the last minute things, Todd will be at work.... I'll be anxiously awaiting Ethans arrival from school, he gets dropped off at 3:45 p.m. so we can head to Boston to pick up Todd from work. Our flight is at 8:15 this night, we should get to Boston by 5, to Logan by 6....hmm.....thinking about this...wondering if I should be picking Ethan up from school so we can get an earlier start?? This won't leave much time for dinner before our flight after check in, security...right??:confused3

Just keep an eye on the traffic. I work in Beantown and...well...sometimes it's a veritable zoo around that time. When I fly out of Logan (which isn't often, I'm a T.F. Green girl) I always allow an extra hour, just for traffic.

Also, not sure if you know this or if you've ever been to the one in DTD, but there is an Earl of Sandwich at Logan. It's in Terminal E. Just a thought to bring the "Disney" in your day a little earlier. :goodvibes

I know! I went over yours quick last night and off the top of my head, didn't see anything that was the same...but will check again! That would be fun!!!

SO true.....I think i'm going to pick Ethan up and head to the city, we always park at a park n' ride outside of Logan, too, since the weekly parking is SO much cheaper too, so we need to factor in that, as well. Good points!:thumbsup2 Btw, Todd works near South Station!

FOR REAL?!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: that is soooo exciting!!!!! I never knew that!!!! I am sooo excited...thank you! I will have to see what Terminal we are in, LOVE Earl of Sandwich!!!

Good Morning my DIS friends!!:flower3:

I wanted to pop in to tell all my East Coast readers to please be safe during Hurricane Earl's arrival today!

Where I live, just North of Cape Cod, we are expecting heavy rains and increased winds starting late this afternoon. My family is on Cape Cod, please pray for their safety. We've been through many hurricanes in the past, and are all prepared, but I appreciate your thoughts.

Please stay safe, stay home and stay dry!

I'll write soon!!
Take care!

I missed the part that said it was your moms and aunts dress. How neat. I love things that have stories it makes them that much more special. I wish I could have wore my mom but she burnt it lol. No it's not what you think  She had been storing it in the basement and water got to it and there was no way to save it. :sad2: I'm so excited that our trips are finally coming!!!!

It was so neat to be able to wear it and it was very happy moment for my grandmother that she got to not only see her own daughter wear it, but her granddaughter wear her sisters gown. I only wish I could pass it on!

Ahhh, so sad your Mom's gown was ruined by rain!!!:guilty: What a shame!!

I know, less than 3 weeks now!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having wonderful Labor day weekends and enjoying the beautiful weather!!:cloud9:

We have been super busy organizing here! You know how it is, Summer tends to be sooo busy, you're running from here to there, to the beach (for us), camps, cookouts.....and things get neglected at home. Well, as much as I'd like to be doing those types of things this weekend, we decided to regroup here at home. It's been wonderful, I'm feeling better about how things are shaping up and getting organized, it's a good feeling. :cloud9: But for some reason, Todd and I can't just organize, we end starting new projects that weren't planned for...like moving rooms around, putting up new light fixtures, things that get us off track! But I'm not complaining, it's all stuff that needed to be done and I'm excited how things are shaping up around here.

We have a SUPER busy week ahead of us here, Ethan starts 2nd grade on Tuesday, Lucas has Kindergarten orientation on Wednesday where I get to ride the bus with him to and from school and meet his teacher (who happens to be Ethan's Kindergarten teacher and who I love!), Thursday is my baby, Cole's, preschool orientation, who I can't believe is starting school (:sad2:) and Friday is Lucas's 1st time to Kindergarten himself! Not to mention some work for me, soccer practice and that sort...right back into the swing of the Fall schedule. I'm looking forward to it, we had a great Summer, but I do really like and crave a schedule.

I'm beginning to get a bit panic-ky with my trip plans and how close it is! Don't get me wrong, I am SOOOO excited, but I feel like it's sneaking up on us sooooo quickly but I have SO MUCH to do!!!!!!! I think it's time for a list and something I can check off so I feel better about things. :teacher:

A quick question for my DIS pals....the boys Disney shirts have been washed and are ready to wear but really do need to be ironed (what a mess out of the drier they are!), does anyone have any suggestions on how I can iron these now and pack them so they stay neat?? I'm not good with this kind of thing and I don't want to take the time every morning touching up their tshirts, you know? Any input is great! :thumbsup2

What is everyones input on online check in? I thought about it last time, but haven't tried it. I'm old school and it makes me nervous, am I silly? We have requested a room in Alligator Bayou, our room needs to have the trundle bed, an adjoining room with Tracey and Adam, they have requested a pack and play.....so worried if I do online we may miss some of these important things. What do you think?:confused3 And not to mention, remember, we're flying in the night before Tracey and Adam.

While cleaning out a closet today I found lots of my Disney travel stuff, lysol wipes, hand sanitizer, bandaids, blister care, that sort, so less that I have to pick up for this trip and right into the Disney bin it went, thanks Meghan!!;)

Okay, that's it for now! Enjoy your long weekends!

I like to roll my clothing when packing. I feel like it keeps the wrinkles away. Then, when I unpack, all I have to do is unroll everything and it's already folded nicely.

A to-do list is a must for me right now. I'll probably post my list sometime this week on my PTR. I feel like it grows everyday!

We did online check-in last June and it worked out great. I had faxed in my requests a few days before we arrived and all of our requests had been met. Our room wasn't ready, but they said we could check-in to a different room if we didn't want our requests. We ended up waiting (we really only waited 30 min). If you're arriving later at night, I think you could do regular check-in. There shouldn't be a big line.

So glad you're making use of your Disney bin! Mine is at capacity right now and I don't know what to do!

Have a great Labor Day!

Trying the "rolling" method for the first time myself.

Not silly at all - I'm a little nervous myself! But I'm going to give it a shot since most people I've heard from have had a good experience. Also, I don't have any requests I'm "married" to anymore. I'll have some "suggestions" when I do it, but other than that, I'm going to give it a try and see what happens. It's a little easier to accept that attitude, though, when you're going solo.

I know exactly what you're talking about, I'm feeling the same way!!!

Congrats with Lucas getting a great teacher that you already know. That's always a relief to know you have a great teacher.
It will be my 1st time doing online check-in, so I can't help you there. I am going to fax request also.

Have a great Labor Day & hope you get all those projects done!

Good Morning!

Back into the swing of things here at our home, Ethan started 2nd grade today, it was a bit of a rough morning, he didn't feel good, he was crying.....it's always tough being strong in these moments and MAKING them go to school, even though I know it's the right thing. Sometimes this Mommy job is HARD work!!:guilty: But the good news is, after lots of hugs and kisses, tears (from him and I!), some words of encouragement, my big boy got on the bus and even managed to squeak out some smiles for his Mom before heading to school for the day!

Hope you don't mind if I share!!!

On other news, I can officially say....TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY we will be flying to Disney World!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Two weeks from now, I'll have the morning to myself since all three boys will be in school, chances are I will be running laps around myself getting the last minute things done, packing the carry on, diaper bag, bringing Ruby to my parents on the Cape, last minute cleaning. I just said to Todd last night when we were sitting on the couch watching t.v. that 2 weeks from then, we'd be packing the GIANT suitcases in the minivan so they were ready to go the next day so that the boys and I could head right to Boston as soon as we got Ethan out of school. About 3:30 or so, we'll head into town, pick up Todd, head to the park and ride and shuttle over to Logan, have a quick bite to eat and await out 8:15 p.m. flight. :cloud9:

It's going to be here before we know it!!!!!:yay:

Aw, Ethan looks so cute today! Probably not what a 2nd grader wants to hear, though, huh? :rotfl:

I had the same issues with my girls today. We started school last week, but for some reason today was the day they decided they didn't feel like going. :confused3 I think they just had too much fun over the long weekend and were tired out. They were not happy with me that I made them go, but they'll be glad later when they don't have to make-up the work.

Awwww, I'm sorry you had some tears from Ethan this morning, that can be so hard! He looks awfully cute though :goodvibes
