Hi  Signing in. I can't believe I didn't see this PTR sooner. It looks like we may be at some of the same parks at the same time! Your boys are cute!

Hi there!!
Thanks for coming along for the ride!!!:flower3:

I'll have to check out your PTR, too! Aww, thank you for your compliment on my boys!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

9/29 is our last day at Disney!:sad1:

We have no plans for this day....our flight is schedule for 3 p.m., Tracey & Adams flight is scheduled for about 45 minutes ahead of ours. I'm guessing that means ME will be picking us up by noontime? thoughts? :confused3 And I'm sure that our ME pickup times will be different, too, since we're almost an hour apart on flight times.

We technically still have a park ticket available, I'd LOVE :lovestruc to be able to make a quick trip over to MK, but the reality of that is....with 6 (quite possibly tired....) kids, getting us all packed up and out the door and over there for just a couple of hours....is it worth it? Anyone been to the parks the morning of departure? I'm kind of sad that our last full day is in Epcot, I always feel like I need to say "goodbye" to the castle, you know? :guilty: On our Christmastime 2008 trip, we packed up and took a monorail ride over to GF to see the gingerbread house and take some nice pictures, I'm just not sure what we should do this morning. I don't want wet bathing suits to pack, so the pool is not an option....anyone have any suggestions?

We always stay up late the night before we leave, we pack up and just lay out our clothes for the travel day. Todd & Adam get up SUPER early, run the luggage over to ME pick up and check it, so we're all set for the day and there are no lines. It worked well for us the last couple of trips, so we'll assume the same for this trip.

On other notes, I've heard that the hours have changed, I've had NO time to look into this, feeling a bit stressed that it will mess with some of our plans!:scared1: I guess at some point, soon, I better take a look into this!

It's another rainy day here in MA, I'm feeling a trip to Target in our near future...thinking it would be fun to pick up some essentials for our vacation. They always make it feel more real, too!:wizard:

I've been thinking about making some shirts for our trip, I had the DISign board make a couple of cute Mickey heads for our shirts last trip and I surprised everyone with them. It really made for a cute picture of all of us. I looked up how to do a Mickey tie dye, but it seems like way too much work for me and I know I'd have a bit too much help here! So not sure if I'll end up doing something or not. The boys have at least 4 Disney tshirts we've bought for the trip, so I don't know what I'll end up doing.

I'm sure that you've noticed that we are NOT doing AK. It's not our favorite park, I know others LOVE it, it's just not our thing. The last two trips with the kids it was painful being there, everyone had meltdowns, I don't know if it was something to do with the extra heat or what, but we decided as a group to skip it this trip. Maybe when the kids are older, we'll go back.

We have also decided against going to MNSSHP! We did go to MVMCP our last trip and just LOVED it, it was worth every penny for us and we'll do it again if we ever go that time of year again. :santa: But we decided since it was a good month before Halloween, we were already spending a lot of money just taking the kids on this trip, that we didn't need to do any more. And the thoughts of packing costumes, then candy on the flip side, didn't seem worth the cost for us....with a family of 5, it really adds up!:scared1:

Our plans are a bit loose this trip, we tend to firm things up the night before we go to each park, deciding where to send the guys first thing for FPs and that sort. It's fun. And we kind of have to be a bit loose since we have 6 kids to deal with, all under the age of 8, I will remind you!

Okay, today's plans are to look into parks hours and Target....I'll be back soon! Have a magical day!!!:wizard:

As you know I'm an AK lover, but it sounds like you made the right decision for your family! Meltdowns are not magical! :rotfl:

For the last day MK is always what I like to do too...but with six kids to rush out the door....hmmmm....maybe you could plan some sort of game for them, i've read about people making scavenger hunts to find things around their hotel on travel days. The kids would probably have a blast!

Hmmmm...I say leave the kids at the pool with the Dads and the Moms head to MK for a few hours. :rotfl2:

Tie Dye is a lot of work, that is why I have bought mine. :lmao: I just don't have the patience for it.

I hope you have fun at Target. I love buying things for the trip.

SO glad you're here!!

Thanks Alicia!!

You're going to have a great trip! I can't wait to read all about it! Did you start a PTR? Sorry I missed it, if so!:goodvibes I'm not a big dresser upper (I know, not word...lol!) and I'm with you on the heat, I couldn't dress up, either! Maybe just a fun tshirt for you?:confused3

We're so close! I can't believe it!!!:yay:

Yes, 3 boys is a handful, to say the least...if I don't keep them busy, they get into trouble, but they are good boys...just need structure for sure!

For the first time EVER, we are going to a park on our departure day (which is the same as yours). However, our flight is at 6:45pm, so ME won't pick us up until 3pm-ish. We have a breakfast ADR and then I think the plan is Epcot.

Because I know you're so busy and I've already looked up the new parks hours, I'll send them to you via PM/FB!!!!

I love your countdown calendar...so cute!

I understand your desire to get one last look at MK before you leave, I like to do that too. But, with 6 little ones, and taking into consideration that your friends could have an ME pick up time an hour earlier than yours, I fear you would just get to the park and get organized and ready to go and it would be time to leave. I don't know, thats a tough one!

Meltdowns are SO not magical! And it was never one or two...everyone was cranky, including us! So, better off next time!;)

Hmm...food for thought for sure about the game, cute! I'll have to put some thought into it, Tracey is away right now on vacation with her extended family, so we need to chat some, too!:thumbsup2

LL, Love, love, love the way you think, girl!:thumbsup2 Just not sure Todd adn Adam will!! :rotfl: Something to think about though!

Did you buy your tie dye through etsy??

Target was a bit painful with the boys today....day 2 of rain and 3 little boys stuck in a house makes them wild!:headache: But I did get somethings, will post soon!

LOL! Oops!:lmao:

I know, the last couple of months have flown by! We need it to slow down some...I don't want our vacations to go by as fast!

We are taking the kids out of school! We did it last time, too, I know our school isn't fond of it, but my kids are so young, they aren't missing testing or anything and I'm a firm believer that family time is just as important as school time. When we went last time we couldn't have lucked out anymore, I called our teacher and she was so excited for us to go! I can only hope to be as lucky this time! I'm hoping Lucas gets the same teacher (Ethan was in Kindergarten when we went last time, and now Lucas is starting), so that will be easy but I don't know any of the 2nd grade teachers. :teacher: I'm with you, hoping they'll just give Ethan some work to do and it will be fine! Fingers crossed for both of us! I think the sooner they know, the better though so they can plan, you know? When does Hailey start?

I made it! However, as you know....too tired to process much. Sorry :( I will be back to comment later

So glad you are here Tracy!!:goodvibes

Meghan you are the best! thank you!! Hoping tonight to get some time to take a look and see if it will effect us at all!

So jealous your flight is so much later!:cloud9: We could have done a later flight but everyone has to go back to school the next day and work, so we opted for the afternoon flight. :guilty:

Thank you, it came out pretty cute!

Wow, I didnt know about hours change I will have to look it up as well.

HOpefully it won't effect us too much!

I think you're so right.....sigh!:guilty: Maybe we'll just have a quick breakfast and do a monorail ride......just to say goodbye!

All my boys and their excitement!:woohoo:

Looks great! It's so exciting that you've started now!!!

I don't want wet bathing suits to pack, so the pool is not an option....anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to re-think the pool thing. Please don't be mad! :rolleyes1 I'm just thinking that it would be something the dads could do with the kids while the moms finish packing or enjoy a brunch cocktail! You can put the wet stuff in a laundry/plastic bag and shove it in your luggage right before you get on ME. :confused3

PM is being sent to you about the tie dye!

Thanks LL!!:goodvibes

Thank you! It seems soooo real now, finally!!!:yay::yay::yay:

I would never be mad!!!:goodvibes I will definately consider it....need to talk to Tracey, too and see what her thoughts are. We dont' have a lot of time, so it may be a good solution!:thumbsup2

Hi guys!

We got more Mickey mail today! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a gloomy, rainy, cold day here in MA, so this was a nice surprise waiting in our mailbox for me this afternoon!

Ethan showing you all (don't mind the messy hair!)

I was busy today....we made our trip to Target and picked up some things and we organized our new Disney bin (thanks Meghan!:thumbsup2)

First, some treasures from Target!

Our new Disney bin, rechargeable batteries, toothbrush covers for the boys, toothpaste, chapstick, sunscreen and a hanging shoe organizer to hang in our "closet" at POR for the essentials (again, thanks Meghan!) to get things off our sink area!

dis6.jpg

I dug out our "Disney stroller", I bought this second hand before our last trip with the boys, it's a sit n' stand, it's heavy but it is perfect with the kids, Lucas still gets tired if we walk too much and of course Cole needs a place to ride still. I paid $50 for it and we've used it at zoos and that sort, too. It's too big every day for me now, and I went back and forth with bringing it and thought about renting just so we didn't have to lug this with us, but why spend more money, right?:confused3 I washed it down and cleaned it today so that is off my list now, too!:woohoo:

dis5.jpg

I also found our lost and found tags for the boys shoes today, too! I love these, they are waterproof, you write all the childs information inside so god forbid you lose your child, someone can help them. They just velcro to the childs shoe laces and your done. I am thinking though I need to get new ones, they have our old cell phone numbers inside. But I'll see if I can neatly scratch it out and write our new numbers 1st. If you have children, these are great for Disney and any events that are crowded and your child can easily get lost. Tracey bought them for her kids, too, on our last trip.

I made a call today to Disney dining, I got an email announcing buffet lunch at Chef Mickey's for a couple of weeks in September, we have a ressie for our 1st morning there for breakfast. I thought maybe lunch would be better since we are going to be at HDDR the night before and maybe we wouldn't want to rush? No luck in getting a ressie though. So then I tried for our last morning, thinking this would be a fun way to end our trip, no luck there either. Guess it wasn't meant to be and we'll just keep our current breakfast ressie. :cloud9:

I guess that's about it for now....gotta get the wild animals, I mean boys fed for dinner!

Your countdown looks great! I think relatively loose plans with room to tweak each day/night based on whatever is definitely the way to go. :thumbsup2 You're going to have such a great time!!

Hurrah for more Mickey mail. Can't wait to get mine- probably another month or so for me. Going in mid-Oct. No PTR for me... I'm not good at keeping it updated. Although from time to time I am bursting with excitement and briefly consider one as an outlet.

I :lovestruc Target. So many good things there. Especially when you are buying things for vacation!

If you got your Mickey Mail today I should be getting mine tomorrow! :cool1: So glad I could inspire you to go spend $! The Disney box will change your life....it is great to keep everything all in one place.
