Goin Solo This Weekend

so the original question i had was breakfast for this morning. i decided to try to walk in at ohanas, got there 720, and they got me in at 730. had a great breakfast, and will be heading home in a bit. wasnt sure id enjoy being by myself, but i did. i think ill be coming again before food and wine is over...think i will plan a lil farther ahead though.
was a great relaxing weekend, much needed!
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Sounds like you had a great solo weekend...BF at Ohanas is yummy :)

checked in, hit the bar...way too cold outside...gonna relax, and hit boardwalk in am for breakfast..thanks again everyone! ill follow up when i get home!!

lmao!!! you know you're talking to a Floridian when they say it's "too cold" outside and its like 70! Ok maybe it got down to 68 the other night at my house which is 20 min from the Boardwalk. My sister lives in Dunedin and she is really bad. Her window of perfect temps is from 78-85. Actually at 78 she would probably be wearing her hoodie. Much lower and the gloves come out and the hood goes up. She's so funny. We were raised in NY. Go figure. lol.

Btw, nice to hear you had a great relaxing weekend and already plan on coming back. Its always helps. Don't wait to plan too far ahead though. The F&W fest ends on the 14 if you weren't aware. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy finishes it out! Whoohoo!

I don't have any advice for you, but just wanted to let you know I am flying down next week for 3 nights after I broke up with my girlfriend of a year. It is also my first solo trip

If it is nice enough I would choose anyplace outside were you can people watch.

Ok how come I never see any of you single boys when I'm down there? LOL I have to check this board out more! :thumbsup2

I'll be there on the 26th :cool1:

Unfortunately - I'm not going until December :( I'm missing it big time!!! I've been looking at 3 day weekends between now and mid-November, but the flights aren't working out. Ugh! Have fun!!!!!!:wizard:

I'm a teacher so I can't! Taking my 3 personal days for my trip in December for a 5 night stay. I was going to try and be 'sick' on a Friday or a Monday, but no luck. Guess I'll have to wait lol!

Lol no! I get 2 weeks off - which are the busiest at Disney! :scared1: I teach autistic kids so I teach all year. Work every summer! :thumbsup2 With little breaks at end of June and then at the end of August. Still good yes - but no summers off. Someday! ;)

My goal is to save up a ton of money one year and not teach summer school. Then I'm going to bank and borrow my DVC points to fix it so I can stay in a studio for the entire summer and use my AP every day. LOL - I have big dreams!! :cloud9:

how many dvc points do you have to stay for that long (even banking and borrowing)

If I stayed 7/6-8/30 and stayed in a studio at OKW it would be 832, AKV value 709, or BWV standard studio 842. I have 300 points, so it *could* be done. Then on my other trips during the year I could just pay cash and stay at a Value or POFQ. LOL again - this is all in my dreams. But someday in the future..... ;) How awesome would that be?? :dance3:

I own at SSR, but haven't stayed there yet! I took my parents to BCV for our first trip and we fell in love with the closeness to Epcot. We like that you don't have to take a bus everywhere. We are such Epcot people, so that's where we've stayed the most! This summer we stayed at VWL and ADORED it!!

I had originally had 150 points at SSR and then was going to do a resale at VWL or BCV, but then dreaded the thought of 2 different contracts and dealing with the 7-11 month windows. So I added on at SSR. Plus it's cheaper for the points and maintenance fees. Haven't stayed at BLT yet! My friend and her husband love it there! How is it?
