GOG does not show wait times on app?

I have checked the last 3 days for wait times for GOG in EP and the ride is not shown as a ride and does not show how long wait times are. What am I doing wrong or has the ride been down? It's my daughter's favorite ride so she wants to ride when we come next week. Help! Do I need to buy a LL?

There is no standby line. The listed wait times are for standby lines. Guardians is only available as an LLSP or by VQ.

If she needs a confirmed ride then you should plan to purchase a LLSP for it.

You can also try for a Free VQ Boarding Group at 7 AM on the day of your Epcot visit, and again at 1 PM (you must have entered Epcot) to try for this VQ. Finally there will be a 3 chance at 6 PM if you are staying at a deluxe resort or a DVC resort on any Monday when Epcot has Extra Evening hours.

Its not listed on the app because it does not have a standby line.
Just like you won't find a wait time for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom because it too does not have a standby line.

It has a Lightning Lane line and a Virtual Queue line.

You can purchase a Lightning Lane Single pass for it 7 days prior to check in if staying onsite or 3 days prior to your park day if not staying onsite.

You can also try for the Virtual Queue day of a 7am and 1pm and if you are staying in a deluxe resort and going to the extended evening hours at EPCOT on a Monday you can try for it at 6pm.

If its a must do then I suggest Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Last visit to disney was 18 months ago and the last time she rode it, I believe we got a virtual que. If it doesn't show a wait time, does that mean the wait times are minimal once you have a VQ? or LL? Disney's whole system is very confusing to me, too many options. Is the VQ and LL wait/line the same? I don't mind buying her a LL. If I buy her a LL, does that mean she will not be able to try to get a VQ?

The VQ and LL are 2 different lines. I think of VQ as the more traditional standby line - but you need a virtual queue 'reservation' to get into that line at your assigned time window. The VQ approach is how Disney often handles the opening of their really big attractions, like GOTG, to control the length of the line.

Wait times 'minimal'? That's a relative term. We've done GOTG both through VQ, more often through LL. Most of my LL rides I still waited 20-30 minutes. I had one VQ I waited 15 and one I waited 45. It really depends on how many folks waited to get in line just in front of you! Or if there have been any technical issues with the ride that might have things delayed. If you're daughter wants to ride, I'd recommend purchasing the LL a few days in advance - you'll pay extra, but you can select a time window to ride which should make your planning for the day easier. You can hold both a LL and a VQ for the ride on the same day - but be ready to grab a VQ that morning - they can go quickly.

We've done 4 VQs on our most recent trip and the wait times varied from 40 min on the short end to 75 min on the long end. We tried to time the LLSP we also had but the ride broke down for ~15-20 ish min so hard to say how long that would have been but ballpark estimate was around 30 min or so from entry to boarding (including pre-show.)

I did the LLSP twice during Thanksgiving week. The first time, my entry time was between 1 and 2pm. I waited 50 minutes in total from getting in line to getting off the ride. The 2nd LLSP was at 9:15 am. That time took 20 minutes total. I don't know that I have ever seen the VQ shorter than 30 minutes except very early in the morning or during Evening extra hours.

Disney doesn't report wait times for attractions that don't offer a traditional stand-by line.

OP, In answer to one of your questions--Yes, you can have both an LLSP and a VQ for the same ride.

I did this on my last two trips for TBA.

The VQ is basically you waiting potentially hours for your group to be called to get in to what is basically a standby line that will take however long it takes.
The LLSP will allow you to pick what time you go on the ride and the LL line is short in comparrison.

You can purchase LLSP and then also day of try for a VQ.

Every time I've done VQ the line was between 45-60 min, I think that's the goal. Manageable waits to spread the crowd out.

Agreed - instead of the 3-5 hour standby waits for something like Flight of Passage when it opened - and the line that snaked all through Pandora and outside of Pandora!

One more question. If I make a LLSP for GOTG and we are late getting there, do they still let us in? Are there time specific or you can go later then you return time but not earlier than your return time.

VQ they have been pretty good these days about letting you go after your boarding group time has ended but have not heard reports of LLSP doing that.
You pick your time for LLSP so you should be able to pick it for a time that works for you...
