Hi everyone! The sun is shining here but it's only 12 degrees on our thermometer. Brrr! Hope those of you that have had bad weather woes are digging out and that it's melting and things are safely moving again on your streets and highways.

I wanted to remind everyone that the post offices will be closed on Monday as it's Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Wait until Tuesday to make your weekly trip to the post office unless you have one of those nifty cool 24/7 A.P.C. which I use all the time and !! I detest those long lines at the p.o. on Mondays.

I'm sure there will be lots of late envies arriving next week due to all the weather delays for the mail carriers. Please make sure to double check all the expirations on coupons that you send to your train buddy on 1/24 as more than usual may be past or close to expiration with the delays in delivery next week.

Thank goodness the sun is shining...even if it is only 12 degrees...brrr is right! It's cold here, too, although today didn't seem to be as bad as it has been. But when you are sick to begin with, it seems like you never get warm enough!

Just curious.... is everyone watching "Extreme Couponing" on TLC??? CRAZY!!!

The first woman bought over $1K of groceries for $51 (plus the $70 she spent for the coupon clipping service)

Another young mother got $600+ of groceries for $2 and change (and I think she and her husband actually have their stockpile insured!)

Another woman got $238 groceries for $6

A guy got $769 for $56, $974 for $35, and $4,000 for $150. Amazing. $5743 for $241 is what TLC said. He bought a lot of soaps, deodorants, toothbrushes, floss, and 1100 boxes of cereal (that he's giving to a food bank.)


I think I got a deal when I save $40 - $60 on a big shopping! These people make me look like an amateur!!!!!

The one thing I don't get is, the first couple bought so much stuff that they will probably never use! 200+ boxes of pasta??? The bugs will get to it long before they can use it! 100+ bottles of Gatorade? If that's all you're going to drink..... 150 candy bars? It would have been awesome to see them donate the bulk of their buy to a charity or food pantry or a church. They just bought the stuff to prove how great they can do with coupons. Their home was "stockpiled" with so much stuff --- they're probably set for at least 2 years (or more). Hopefully, they'll actually USE the stuff they bought!

Guess what arrived this afternoon? Yep! You're right! The envie you sent on 1/10 beat the one that you sent on 1/3 so I'm now thinking the first one probably wound up in the Magical Kingdom of Lost Envies never to be seen again. Oh well, I'll enjoy going through this one tonight and I will let you know if the other one ever arrives.

I watched this a couple weeks ago. Does put us to shame! I think that one guy did donate bunches.

BTW - I could easily go thru 150 candy bars Probably good I didn't come across that deal...
