Rec'd your nice envie today...thanks so much! I'm still sorting through them. My cupboards are down to the bare bones (too much sickness and taking care of mom who was here visiting for the holidays. Just before she was to return home, we got that huge snow storm (thank GOD!) and three days later she ended up in the hospital with a mild heart attack and several mini-strokes, along with very high blood-pressure). (If she had returned home, no telling what could have happened...) She is finally getting released on Sunday after 2 1/2 weeks but will have to return to the hospital to have some veins de-clogged before she can even think of returning to Fla. Needless to say, house stuff has been put on the back burner which includes re-stocking my cupboards and freezer!

What a way to end the old year and begin the new! I'm counting on everything going smoothly beginning in February and lasting throughout the new year!

I think I need to join our conductor and visit the World next week...I sure could use a break!

Did you get your 3 envelopes before christmas most of them were expiring in December and did you get the ones I mailed on Tuesday?

Yes, I received the ones sent before Christmas and I have received 6 more. 3 last week, 2 on Tuesday and one on Wednesday.

I think Eyor44 is at Disney right now. She was going to run the Half Marathon but I lost track of the exact dates of her trip there. I know she will post as she can because she's a great communicator.

I walked more than anything but completed both the 5K and 1/2 and have the bling.

Did you guys see the other Budget Board thread on signing up for Campbell's eLabels for Education? You can register your store's shopper card and they automatically send 1 Label for Education point to your school for each participating product you buy. Plus, you can also cut out the labels and submit them to your school. For those of us that tend to, um, forget to clip the labels, it's a no-brainer.

Finally got to get out and mail me envie to Vannessasmom, I also got my envie today and got a surprise envie from Eyor44 for my birthday, thank you so much, it made my day. Being locked inthe house for 3 days I was excited to get mail. School is cancelled again tomorrow due to the snow and ice and I am not sure everyone to going to survive please say a prayer for us.

Another envie is heading your way. Did you happen to get the last two envies I sent you? I'm just curious because I've been having some issues receiving and sending mail. Bills and letters I have been sending are taking weeks to arrive and I've been experiencing delays on the receiving end as well. Who knows.

I had to stop mailing from my house and I only drop off at the post office now.

Happy Birthday!

Talk about geeky, who else actually delights in researching chop suey recipes in order to use up a jar of bead molasses? It's a big game to me, plus my kids will eat anything, so they're having fun with it, too. DD11 makes sure that I'm only buying the essentials (like milk, eggs, and some produce) and am not "cheating". As my stock pile dwindles, I can't wait to see what I start putting on the dinner table!

Sounds like fun. Wish my family would go for it.

You got all my sympathy for that bad weather you've been having.....but not an ounce of it for a 20 hour roundtrip car journey to see the mouse. When we are silly enough to drive there, it's a THREE DAY trip ONE WAY and that's driving an average of 10 hours a day. So glad we're flying this time.

Hi everyone! The sun is shining here but it's only 12 degrees on our thermometer. Brrr! Hope those of you that have had bad weather woes are digging out and that it's melting and things are safely moving again on your streets and highways.

I wanted to remind everyone that the post offices will be closed on Monday as it's Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Wait until Tuesday to make your weekly trip to the post office unless you have one of those nifty cool 24/7 A.P.C. which I use all the time and !! I detest those long lines at the p.o. on Mondays.

I'm sure there will be lots of late envies arriving next week due to all the weather delays for the mail carriers. Please make sure to double check all the expirations on coupons that you send to your train buddy on 1/24 as more than usual may be past or close to expiration with the delays in delivery next week.
