Go to our New New New Coupon Train Thread!

Expect another large envie. I put another one in the mail on Saturday as I knew I wouldn't be able to get to the store on Sunday for a paper. I wasn't feeling the greatest. Hope you have a great week.

I got it today!:cool1: I hope you are feeling better today.

Okstate_angel....I have returned from vacation, but it is taking some time for re-entry back into the real world. (If anyone ever has the opportunity to visit the Jackson Hole/Teton/Yellowstone area, you should do it! I believe I left part of my soul there. :lovestruc ) Anyways, I won't be getting an envie out to you today, but should have it ready to go for tomorrow. My coworkers are now bringing me all their coupons to clip, so it will prob be another good-sized one.

Hope all my train buddies have a wonderful week!! :grouphug:

Welcome Home! There's an envie heading your way!!!!!!

flamestarrdust - I received 2 envies from you today.

Tigeradpi - I received my coupons today from last week, and I have a large amount that expire before or by 8/31, so I'm going to mail a second envie out. I labeled it "Envie #2" so that you would know what it was when you got it.

Momof2DisneyFans - I sent your envi yesterday :)

I feel SO bad, this is my first envi and I am BRAND NEW to using coupons so it was just a little itty bitty envi :(
I hope as time goes on I will be able to use words like, thick, and chunky (sounds like salsa, lol) when I send your envi :)

Have a safe trip home Dj. :goodvibes

Ditto that, DJ...and enjoy the scenery along the way! Hope you had a fabulous and relaxing vacation! :thumbsup2

Eyor44 - thank you sooo much for the surprise envelope...how very thoughtful of you!

MyLilTink-I got another envelope from you today! Thank you:goodvibes

Tonight I did my rounds at Kroger, Meijer & Target and was too excited with everything I got. With the exception of 10 Toy Story Pez Dispensers (on clearance for $.39 each) and 5 Furnace Air Filters (on clearance for $1.00 each) I had a coupon for every item I bought. Total at all 3 stores before coupons: $212. With coupons: $53 + $5 off my next order at Kroger and a $5 Target gift card so actually $43!

BTW, Target has chef boyardee for free with their online $1 off coupon. I am going back for more tomorrow!

I was so excited I had to take some pictures of everything. Here are my goodies

Oh my please ignore my filthy, fingerprint covered appliances! Apparently I need to spend less time on Dis and more time cleaning my kitchen!

WOW! What a great shopping trip! Conratulations! :woohoo: :dance3:

Sent an envie your way today. Usually I send it on Monday but when I got out of physical therapy yesterday, I rec'd a frantic call from my son who thankfully happened to be home from work saying that we had an "explosion" in the bathroom! Right away, I thought the toilet exploded! Why, I have no idea, but whatever!

I arrived home about 15 mins. later to find my upstairs neighbor, and my two neighbors who live below me, all in front of my house with my front door wide open. When I entered my apt., my landlord's daughter, her two children and her neice were all inside! (What a zoo!) Everywhere I walked, I walked onto soaking wet towels! It seem that the cheap, plastic faucet that my landlord installed in my bathroom sink only 8 mos. prior had literally EXPLODED!

The cold water handle had "blown off" the faucet from all the pressure, allowing a "gushing geiser" to literally soak my entire bathroom :rotfl: :rotfl2: ...the walls, my new fabric shower curtain, my fancy towels, everything under my sink and in my linen closet, the hallway outside the bathroom and partially into my kitchen was covered in ankle-deep water. The water even seeped partially into my dining room, which is carpeted in thick carpet and slightly into my bedroom on my area rug!

This geiser continued for over 10 minutes, as neither my son, my landlord's daughter, nor my neighbor upstairs could turn the water off from under the sink! :lmao: (Pipes and handles were too old) The main water downstairs was finally turned off, and the poor family downstairs also had a couple inches of water in their basement! What a mess!

The funny part is, I had just purchased 2-12 packs of the new 3-ply thick, Northern toilet paper and had it stored in the bottom of my linen closet. :confused3 (24 soaking wet rolls of toilet paper!) It WASN'T thick enough, though to soak up all that water (think of the Charmin commercial with the papa bear and his son fishing in a boat not catching anything until the bear cub uses the Charmin to soak up all the river water leaving nothing but tons of fish flapping around!) (Maybe I should switch to Charmin? :confused3) Each and every thick, clean towel in my linen closet was neatly spread across my bathroom floor, hallway, half my kitchen, partially into my dining room and stuffed under the bedroom doors! :scared1There wasn't a dry towel in the house!

Finally, the plumber arrived (pretty quickly, thank God) and replaced the faucet. Now comes the fun part...my boyfriend had surprised me with Yankee tickets (my first time to the new stadium) and we were leaving at 5:00 sharp! Since there were no towels to take a shower with, I had to "drag" all my towels to the laundromat. The towels were so soaked with water (it was impossible to squeeze all the water out of them. Not enough time, and too many towels to squeeze). Thank God, my son was able to help me put them into bags, load them into the car, and put them in the washer for me! By the time I got home from the laundromat, I had to finish cleaning the bathroom so we could take showers and get ready to go! What a disaster! :scared1:

Oh, I forgot to mention, the bathroom vanity is a big old vanity with "pressed" board for a bottom...can you imagine what THAT looks like now? Everything under my bathroom sink (boxes of products, bags of curlers, everything had "inches" of water in them! :rotfl2: The vanity is still soaked, everything is still out from underneath it, and I am trying to dry it out by having a fan blowing directly into it...I'm praying that no mildew forms! :scared1:

But if it does, Yippey, I get a new vanity and sink! :dance3:

The lesson learned here is, don't skimp when fixing something. Do it right with quality materials the first time and you will save money in the long run!

If I can get my son to post the video he took of the "gushing geiser", I will let you all see it...it was so comical we were laughing our heads off! :rotfl2:

I would have been upsset, but what purpose would that serve, and besides, I was going to the new Yankee stadium! I hope everyone else had a good Monday! (popcorn:: Us at the game last night)

Scrappinmom, there was a change in plans. I'll be mailing to you this week again instead of Cindy-rella but since we're on the road right now (near Atlanta right now) the envie might be going out late. I don't think I can get it out to you until Tuesday or possibly even Wednesday depending on the travel situation for the next few days. Just wanted to let you know what's happening. :thumbsup2

No problem - I have plenty to send

Cindy-rella sorry I forgot to post that YES I did get your envie! Thank you!!!!!

ShortStuff7429 another biggie going out this afternoon

Tink471 - Received an envie last week. Thanks

Indyannamom - I mailed an envie out to you last week (sorry it was late)
