I had to stop at 4:30 to send a priority envelope that needed delivery confirmation. The line was short when I got there but by the time it was my turn, I think there were 15 people behind me and only ONE LADY working the counter!!! She said her coworker had called in sick FOR THE WEEK! Sounds more like he needed a vacation to me. I think Mondays in general are bad days at the post offices.

Where is your DH serving? Bless him!

Right now he is serving overseas, he is in the Army and serves as Military Police, hence my screenname. Can Easter come fast enough??

(My DD asked for this- popcorn::)

You were very brave to ask DD if Kindergarten was good enough to return to the next day...what if she had answered, "no, I hate school!" :scared1: How lucky for you that she loved it! :lmao:

I figured I was safe when she had a big smile on her face. :thumbsup2 If she had given me the "I hate it" answer, I would have told her it was time to
"suck it up and put her big girl panties on" :lmao: Whenever we have to do something we don't like but need to do, that is the standard answer, we even tell DH to do it. It makes us laugh and the not so fun job doesn't seem so bad anymore.

I am proud to report that she still loves school and is starting to make friends. She told us that she sat next to a boy (she thinks his name is Gavin but she can't remember:rotfl:) at lunch and all he did was talk. Now my child is the queen of all talkers so it is pretty funny that she thought someone else talked alot. She said she almost didn't get to finish her lunch because he talked so much. Not sure how his talking kept her from eating but some how he did. :confused3 I think she was talking right back to him. :thumbsup2 Crazy girl!

Back to the business at hand....Vsimeone, I received my envelope today...thanks!

That Hybrid is looking better by the day! Anyone own the Ford Fusion Hybrid? I am seriously considering buying one before Spring 2011 and am looking for some feedback. :teacher:
We don't seem to have the off-brand gas that you do in NJ. My family all lives there, so we stop by the Raceway or whatever the cheapie place is. It's usually across the street from an Exxon and 10 cents cheaper. :thumbsup2
Anyway, I don't have the Fusion, but I do have a Prius. I just got it 3 months ago and I am averaging 59mpg. It's like a game for me to see how well I can do on my mileage. In my research, I only looked at the Fusion online, did not visit a showroom or test drive one. I was focused on the best mileage I could get and also consulted Consumer Reports and various websites. So I'm not really a help, but I can tell you I'm really happy with the Prius.

It sounds like DD is doing great but how is Mommy doing? ;) When I taught seventh grade, it was usually much harder on the parents whose children were leaving elementary and heading to the "big, bad, scary JHS" than on the kids themselves. The kids themselves usually missed their elementary school for about 2.5 hours and then most of them realized how much they loved walking from classroom to classroom by themselves (not in lines!! :rotfl2:), having a locker with a REAL LOCK on it, all the extracurricular activities they could become part of at the JHS, and only having to endure teachers they didn't like for less than an hour a day!!! :dance3: :rotfl:

They did something different with my sons class this year. He is in 6th grade and they added his class into the mix of junior high. They are using block classes which is new also. So it should be an interesting school year.

I did reveive your monster...WOW.. are you even breaking even with what you're paying on postage? I received it Saturday and I'm still working my way through it! No problem on the delay, I've currently got a coupon backlog, and I totally understand busy!!!

Yeah, on that one, I barely broke even! But after vacation and then all my coworkers now bring me their paper inserts to cut out, it really racked up! Sorry for loading you down and hope you find some you need!! :thumbsup2

Gretchen2-DH sent out your envie this week supposedly on Tuesday so hopefully you get it soon and he wasn't lying.:rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl: LOL I love the "suck it up and put your big girl panties on"! I wish I had little ones again so I could use that line on them!

As for little boys who talk alot, they grow up to be big boys (men) who talk even more! My DH gets together with buddies and he talks and listens for hours on end! Gee, and he thinks that two hours on the phone with my sister in Fla. is a long time! :lmao:

I have a Corolla right now that gets great mileage, but I want something that is more "environmentally friendly". I haven't seen either the fusion or the camry hybrid (the two I am considering) in person; just online. The fusion is supposed to get 700 miles per tankful, which sounds good to me! :yay: Can you recommend any particular free sites to visit for a good comparison?

My DD is in 2nd and they are doing "pods" this year. Mixing 1st & 2nd together. New for us also.
