Okay .... I realize that not many of you are into Major League Soccer but our home team, the New England Revolution are in the MLS Cup. The sweetest part is that the game is being played in Gillette Stadium which is the Revs (and Patriots) home field. I just purchased tickets for this once in a lifetime game! Best part is that it's on my birthday and my college freshman son can go with us to the game. He is on mid semester break and we will drive him back to NY as soon as the game is over. What a great birthday I am going to have. :bounce:

WOO HOO!!!!!!!! What a game! Tell me your heart wasn't in your throat by the time the overtime was over!
I'll be in section 138 row 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those that don't follow soccer this is a fairy tale story. Nobody gave the Revolution much of a chance and they have advanced through the play offs to the championship game. What makes it really special is that the championship game is being played in their brand new stadium. It was scheduled to be played there whether they were in the game or not. In a weird twist, even though it is their stadium they are NOT the home team because of the way the seeding in the play offs!

My parents live in Massachusetts and they never miss a game on TV. They're really excited about this too. Guess we gave them the "soccer bug" when we lived up there. Both grandsons were soccer players (one NCCL so he traveled EVERYWHERE).
