Many recent GoPro threads on this board.

Its fish-eye lens is not very good for "regular" photos and conventional video scenes.

I would take My digital camera also. I use one and it is nice for some things. I wouldn't want all of my photos and videos taken with one.

Yes.
Except for the few on which they do not allow video recording.

Those will have announcements prior to the start of the attraction.
(Soarin' is one.)

I'm renting one for our vacation to disney in June - mainly due to it being water proof.
But I also plan to lug around my regular DLSR as well.

I'm renting the GoPro 4 which I've read doesn't have quite as extreme of fishlens as the previous versions?

You can mostly correct the fisheye effect in post-processing.
