Many seem to have been rooting for a politicized World series (Texas vs. Massachusetts), but as a Sox fan, I'm happier with St. Louis being the opponent. Boston has faced and lost to St. Louis in two prior series, which gives them the legacy of being another "historic obstruction."

So, I'll stick with my gut feel that the Gods of baseball have blessed the Sox to overcome all the horror of the past this year!
