Go back to showing hotel ids for transportation?

This topic comes up on a fairly regular basis, with just different DVC resorts in question. A couple years ago there was a huge thread regarding BWV/BCV transportation costs. One poster even had extensive correspondence with DVC in regards to the breakdown of transportation costs, who pays what 100%, etc. The end result was that nothing changed. The bus routes stayed the same, the division of costs remained the same, the people allowed on the buses remained the same. Bottom line--they are Disney properties and Disney will do what they want to do with them. The head honcho CMs running the show would never come out and say that, they will tell you they want your opinions, but at the end of the day--Disney does what is good for Disney, especially if it is tied into their bottom line in regards to $$$$. ::yes::
Just my $0.02, based on past history.
Continue on, this is one of the longest threads I have seen in a long time. popcorn::

That's the one I was thinking of, where we did get a detailed explanation of the cost allocation model - but no changes.

There seem to be a couple of issues with SSR....one is that the resort, close enough to walk to DTD, is perceived to get a lot of 'browsers' walking over from DTD. And not all the DTD clientele is seen as being the type you feel comfortable with strolling through your resort. But other resorts have the same issues, notably the Boardwalk gets a lot of non-BWguest foot traffic - particularly in the evening (and particularly with a sporting event - we are always there over baseball playoffs). The second is that the buses for SSR seem to be overcrowded, and at least occasionally they have people other than SSR guests on them. But that, too, is a problem for all the resorts - Disney really doesn't control parking at their resorts (other than making you stop by the gate - but saying 'I'm here for breakfast' and flashing a license is enough to get you all day parking anywhere but the MK resorts - where at least they stick a three hour permit in your window).

I got a call from Disney this afternoon. I had e-mailed Disney instead of DVC. The person I spoke w/ said this was a transportation issue and should go through Disney not DVC. She said this was the first she had heard of this problem, but it was definitely something they would be looking into. I guess we'll see what they do. She also said that having a park ticket doesn't give someone the right to use the transportation system. It is suppose to be for resort quests only. They went to the "honor system" a few years ago and that's why they no longer check ids.
