UGH :( Same here Jenna. I should have stayed at the comp. Although living in Houston my entire like you would think Im used to. Took forever for the Rockets to get a championship. The Oilers came so close and never did and now with the Astros we get soooooooclose then.......

its a curse we have to live with! Being Houston fans

noooo! Okay, I can't curse here, but you all know what I am thinking!

Also, I have been watching the game from the computer, but decided to go sit next to DH on the couch during the top of the 9th, I am no longer allowed to sit on the couch while the Astros are playing, I am now considered bad luck!

So it's YOUR fault!!!! I was wondering who to blame!

Yes, it was a disappointing loss, but we can put it behind us. We have a day off. We have Oswalt. We have Clemens. We have Biggio, Berkman & Burke. And Lidge - he'll be ready.

I respect the Cards. They deserved that win because they didn't give up.

As a long-time Astros fan (I even attended a Colt 45 game as a kid!) - I know the heart-ache of prior dashed hopes. But this is our time!

GO 'STROHSGO 'STROH :cheer2: S!

I just saw this thread. I think I have an ulcer from watching that game!! I am very unsure if I can watch the game on Weds. I really thought after the HR in the 7th we had a chance. Then 2 outs in the 9th I was about ready to get out the fireworks. Then....well you know the story. What is it with bad luck?? And why did the announcers have to relive the series with Nolan Ryan when they were leading 4-2 then in the ninth someone got a HR and the Astros lost the series when they were winning 3 games to 1. Please let us not repeat history. Cant' t Houston have a chance to go to the series. :confused3 I mean hasn't STL been there enough times already--kidding--well almost !! ;)

:cheer2: LET'S GO ASTROS---LET'S GO!!! :cheer2:

I say Fox jinxed them when with still 2 outs go they flashed the Berkman as player of the game and started thanking everyone(staff) for all the hard work during the NLCS!

I'd still like to see the White Sox vs Astros in the WS being that neither team never won the pennant.

I hate to say it but this is just so typical of the Astros. Love 'em to death but I think that Houston fans definitely age faster than just about anyone else.

Well, actually, the Sox have won the Series a few times - most recently in 1917! LOL! Might as well say we've never won!

1917 is too far back, I'll just say never! :rotfl:

I'm with you on that one. I think it's terrible that they name a player of the game before the game even ends. I think Fox's coverage is awful anyway.

Actually, the White Sox won the AL pennant and went to the World Series in 1959 (The "Go-Go" Sox, as they were nicknamed). Cheyita is correct, however, that they haven't won the WS since 1917.

That was a devastating loss for the Astros Monday night. I've been rooting for them but I'm honestly not sure they'll make it to the WS now. I know they've got Oswalt and Clemens going in 6 & 7, but the kind of victory the Cardinals achieved gives them the momentum now even though they're still down 2-3.

Good luck to the Astros. I hope they make it to the WS. (I still think the White Sox are destined to win it all this year, though.)

Yeah, I'm not sure why I didn't mention the '59 Sox. I'm just so focused on an actual World Series win. I grew up on stories of Luis Aparicio and Nellie Fox.

I know I'm here alone BUT

2 NOTHING!!! 2 NOTHING!!!

You are not alone, GO STROS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still at work, but we have TV's on our trading floor where I work so I am watching but, about to leave.

I am staying at the computer tonight, I will not even stray toward the couch to sit down! :rotfl:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Go Astros :cheer2: :cheer2:

Maybe it's just because I don't know what it's like to experience a good baseball team (it's tough being a Brewers fan...), but I really am pulling for the Cards. After the way the Astros started the season, I don't think they deserve to go to the World Series. On the other hand, the Cardinals played well all season. Sorry, just my opinion... :duck: :duck: :duck:
