Good Evening Gnomies.

I'm on my way to bed shortly, I just came out of a Weeds watching coma. Marc & I started watching Weeds this week from Showtime and let me tell you, it is an AMAZING show. We watched about 8 episodes tonight.

I slept horribly last night, I watched the news before bed. BIG mistake, a man is on the loose who killed 4 family members, then every little noise I heard made me jump out of my skin. Plus it was hot and I just didn't sleep. Then I was having dreams about a mad man breaking into my house and I was telling him personal facts like on the Grey's season finale so he wouldn't shoot me. I even gave him my debit card and pin # and told him that Marc would get paid in the morning.

Needless to say, I'm very happy that tonight is a night that Marc is home.

I just spent some of it in the never-ending limbo of voice mails and automated phone services trying to call the State to answer some questions about getting my teaching certificate renewed. BLEGHH!!!!! I know it is the summer, and this is their busiest time of the year, but can't they just have at least one human being manning the phones to answer questions!??!!??! I am sure even though I left a message with all my phone numbers on it that I won't hear from them for weeks!!!!! I think the whole recertification process is a joke and a scam!!!! I have a graduate degree for goodness sakes.....I'm pretty sure that means I am qualified to teach....just give me the paper already!!!! I think it is especially frustrating when you have already been certified in this state, and just stopped teaching to take a few years off to stay home with your child.....why make me jump through all the hoops all over again!??!?!!? YUCK!

Okay.....venting over!!! Can you tell I am just a wee bit frustrated!?!?!?!

Government bureaucracy drives me nuts!

Hey everyone! I'm in Mentor, OH attending a church planting conference! We head out tomorrow afternoon to head back home! Where I will have a couple of days to pack before I have my Texas Teacher Examinations that I have to PASS...so please be in prayer about that! If I don't pass I don't get the job so this is a big deal!!! I have been doing a lot of studying!

Mentor, OH is where my parents lived after my dad retired from the Navy! Too funny that you are there!

Weeds is one of mine and Charles' favorite shows! It is is such a hoot! Are you watching the first season or did you just jump right into the current season?

We finished the first season and are now in the middle of the 2nd season. Our Verizon On Demand has the first 5 seasons. I'm very excited. Though I'm so tempted to watch a few episodes without Marc tonight.

Yeay! I am so excited that you have discovered it! The secondary characters are some of our favorites -- Heylia, Conrad, and Andy. OMG! I could gush about that show for ages!

I Conrad. Andy kinda creeped me out a bit the first season but I like him a lot more in the second season. Heylia is funny too. I love the fact that I get to see Denny as well.

Mary Louise Parker's mannerisms in that show kinda remind of Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls...well if she had been a pot dealer.

It's a very clever, funny show. We had to rewind a part last night because the line was so funny we had to hear it again.

I really want to go see TS3 today -- the critics are all giving it an A -- it must be really good -- although the critics always seem to love Pixar movies.

I don't think I have time to go see it this weekend and then next weekend we have a STUPID wedding to go too. I hate weddings.

I might try to go see it during the week or even maybe next Sunday but I have a feeling I'm not going to want to do anything that day.

Hey gang!!!! Today has been busy packing and getting ready for the trip....we leave tomorrow in the early AM!!! I am all ready except for putting the stuff in the car. I think I am going to wait until tonight to do that. Since we are going to a house, I feel like we are taking an entire house with us!!!

It was wonderful! We went to the 12:00 show, and I think the entire Sunnyside Daycare was there.

Sounds like a good way to spend your Saturday! What did you think of The Notebook? Chelsea watched it for the first time the other day and couldn't stop crying.

Hey girls! How is everyone this weekend?

Yesterday we went to Des Moines. Did some shopping, had lunch and then wanted to go mini golfing. We knew where a couple courses were and when we got there, found them to be quite lame so I did a search on my phone and drove to a couple others only to discover my navigator is terribly outdated! We never did make it to a course (and multiple times my phone navigator thought I wasn't even on a road ) Today is going to be another rainy day (we are several inches over normal for the month already and have quite a bit in the forecast for the next several days!) so we will head to TS3 , will NOT forget my tissues!

I hope MM is enjoying their trip!

JJ, wishing you the best this week on your exam! I have no doubt you will do fine!!

LL, I've never seen weeds. What is it about?

C, did you watch the Notebook? I've never seen that one either...what is wrong with me?

So, I did watch The Notebook yesterday. Meh. I didn't love it. And actually didn't cry all that much- just a bit at the end. Maybe I wasn't as in the mood for a good cry as I thought I was. Personally I thought Dear John was much sadder.

I was hoping for another pool day today but so far it is pretty cloudy so it may be more movies. And I suppose I could stand to clean the house.

Yesterday seemed to be equal parts running around and lazing about the house. I did manage to declutter and clean the computer room while the kids were outside making their "movie."

I have a feeling we will have a very low-key day today.

Sorry to hear the mini-golfing was a bust, Katie. Enjoy the movie today!

C, sorry The Notebook didn't live up to your expectations. It is very foggy here today -- I am hoping it clears up so we can head to the pool for a little bit. Connor has a new noodle he wants to try out.
