LL- how did the consult go?

Congrats to those of you now on spring break!

I have a long weekend myself and am quite excited about it!

Appointment went okay. He scared me a little bit but I think he tries to do that. Surgeons. Pffft.

He wants me to plan to be out of work for a week though. Not happy about that as it will be unpaid. He did say that if I am feeling good though that he'll write me a note to go back sooner.

I am glad the appointment went okay, but boo to the surgeon trying to scare you and telling you to take a week off of work.

UGH! What is wrong with this world? There was just a news report about a local kid (18 year old) who was arrested yesterday for beating his pregnant girlfriend so severely that doctors had to do an emergency c-section. This was the second time this week the neighbors called the cops on him! DISGUSTING!

Yesterday a friend from college who I haven't seen in 11 or 12 years came to town for the day. I live in her hometown but she doesn't have any family left in the area. Her girls were on spring break and they came for a day trip to show them around where she grew up. We had a great time and our kids had a blast!

Today I'm headed to Beth's house to go over our plans and iron out a few details for the trip. She meets next week with her doctor to see if she will be able to get her nerve block procedure before we go. I'm nervous for her! I really want her to be able to enjoy this trip but she is not feeling well right now. She is determined to go and have fun so hopefully mind over matter will take charge!

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's been in the 80s here lately and I am loving all the sunshine and warmth! Today is the first day of spring break -- nine days without work makes me smile!

congrats on making it to spring break CP!! It's been beautiful here too. Thurs hit 79 and we made it to the mid 80's on Fri! Yesterday we got rain and it cooled down a bit but we will be back in the 70 several days this week and 60's the rest of the time...after the crappy winter we had, I am LOVING it!

We had GLORIOUS weather yesterday, and Megs and I were fortunate enough to be able to be outside in it all day!!! YEAH!!!

Today a NASTY storm is rolling in as I speak, and we are losing hope that there will be a soccer game. The poor dog has been a nervous wreck all morning long, so it must be a doozy on the way!!! YIKES!

It was a beautiful day here in New England. We had a wonderful day for Marc's birthday which is on Tuesday. He went to a cooking demonstration at Stonewall Kitchen and picked out some kitchen gadgets for his present from me. Then we had a bbq with my family with the most delicious steak tips ever. We hadn't had steak since before our surgeries and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS and so tender that it didn't bother us.

Hope u are all doing well.

I'm felling a little more social now, I've gotten my depression a bit more under control...and have started talking to people again.... and sleeping less than 16hrs a day. So maybe I'll stop by more often. I deleted all of my subscriptions except this one.... including my own TRs...I don't want to finish the trip with my nephews, and Jen's TR since I'm assuming she will never finish it either (it's been 6 months, and i haven't even arrived yet in that one lol!)

Sounds like everyone had a really good Saturday! We went to Zoo Atlanta with my SIL and her kids yesterday to watch the gorillas hunt for Jello eggs! Afterwards we went to my MIL's for dinner and egg dying. I have some great pictures to post later.

I'm so glad to hear all of you had a great weekend!!!! I pretty much spent my time at the cell phone store trying to get my phone working properly again and it is so YAY!! However the weather is gorgeous and Phillip went to play roller hockey! Of course today will be busy with church activities and trying to make the most of my last day of Spring Break!!! I have to finish up my resume and enter my grades (due Wednesday).

Speaking of which...enjoy your week Jackie!! The egg hunt at the Atlanta Zoo sounds like a lot of fun!!!!!!

P...glad to see you around and glad you are feeling better!! Sorry about the TR I just have so much on my mind right now with moving and the job fairs and getting the house ready...just haven't had the time I would love to have to finish it up.

Leslie...Happy Birthday to Marc...sounds like a great weekend was had and that is fantastic!!!

Well off to make breakfast and then get started on my day...this time next week I hope to be telling you all I'm the newest Science teacher in Austin, TX!

Happy Easter Gnomies! I hope you all had a nice one.

I had an uneventful relaxing Easter. I stayed home in my PJ's and caught up on my DVR. Marc went to his Mom's side of the family down on the Cape and I was participating in a silent protest and didn't go. It went well.

The bad news is that I have developed a sore throat over today and it's on fire. I really hope it's just allergies because I do NOT want my surgery pushed back. Work is going to be crazy at the end of the month, plus my Mom rearranged her work schedule this week so she could come spend the night on Wednesday and take me to the hospital on Thursday morning since Marc is working that night. We can't afford for us to both be out of work and Marc has zero sick time still from his surgery. I'll probably already be in recovery by the time he gets out of work.

I'm so glad that I have my gnomies to vent too when my brain becomes overcrowded from worrying.
