So far I have a cute little card with a cut outs of an elephant, spaceship earth and big ben and the member book that explains the rules and describes the properties and other options. Still waiting for the official deed and I think I get a membership card so I can access the online site.

So far from what I've seen you'd never know I purchased through retail and not from Disney.

I have two different sets of friends there this week and even though it is cold I want to be there so badly! Of course I might consider Alcatraz vs. work...

That's good to know. I think having a membership card is going to make you feel extra special, but I may just be projecting.

I can totally relate -- one of my students headed to Orlando over the four-day weekend (his mom is as big of a Disney nut as I am), and you should have heard me pumping him for information this morning. I needed a vicarious fix!

So glad it's not just me. My two friends think I'm psycho. I'm demanding their itineraries, want them to send pictures and text updates at regular intervals. They both think I've lost it... And god help them when they say something "wrong." One asked how to tell the difference b/w Goofy and Pluto...

EXACTLY. I did my best to explain. I had to take a few deep breaths. Of course then my friend asked if Daffy Duck was a Disney character.

I am worrying I should have prepared them better. I gave them the DVD and the Unofficial Guide but I'm not sure if they watched/read it enough. I should have administered a quiz...

Is it weird that I am so invested that these friends have a magical time?? I would just hate to hear that anyone didn't like it. My other friend who arrived this past Sat says it is cold but they are having fun. Thank goodness!

I hadn't worked out since last Wednesday so I was slacking. I had a really horrible weekend in regards to eating. So I'm trying to get back on track.

I just finished working out. I bought the second installment of the EA Active Wii game and let me tell you, I am sweating bullets! I have my sliding glass door open! They have all new games on it and I love it! They have step aerobics and I think that is my favorite.

I keep looking at that! I don't have either of them but I'm already bored with Wii Fit. And I don't break a sweat. I think the Wii sports gives me a better workout! How would you rate EA active on a scale from 1 to 10?

Stace, I'd rate it at 10. It is seriously awesome. I think the first version of the game has more exercises and you get the leg strap and band. Those don't come with the second version and you do need them. They do sell them separate. I break a sweat everytime I play. I hate exercise and I actually enjoy doing these games.

Morning girls!

C...I made my vacation video this morning, it's on my FB page. My complaint is that it is designed to "star" 1 female and 1 male so when I put in 2 females, I took a backseat to one of their male faces! That's OK, I made it for Beth really.

I really need more motivation to work out! I have skipped the last few days because I haven't been in the mood. I have been eating OK but know I would make more progress faster if I could move my lazy butt!

I was reminded once again this morning why I need to get my weight under control. I got an e-mail from my Mom informing me that she is undergoing another angiogram tomorrow (please don't say anything on FB because she is keeping this quiet among the family) This is her 7th or 8th time doing this and she has had 4 or 5 stents put in. She isn't saying much because she is embarassed at how many she has had. But here is the thing...my Mom is thin, she exercises and eats well. The ONLY reason this is happening to her to dumb luck. It is a reminder to me that those are my genes and she is probably more healthy than I am!

Please send up a little prayer tomorrow that she recovers quickly from this one too!

I just got done chatting with Beth on FB. She didn't get to have her surgery because their insurance wants anyone having an elective surgery to have a psych eval first. The approved person only sees patients in this situation 1 morning a week! So she is waiting for that appt. Her doctor will proceed as soon as that is done and approved by the insurance company.

She is trying to stay positive but I know she is frustrated. This condition was a terrible side effect of another surgery about 2 years ago and she feels like her life has been on hold. They were in the process of adopting a little girl from China when it happened and had to back out of it and are now starting all over again. This trip I think was a way to give her something to look forward to and she worries that if the elective procedure doesn't work, she won't be able to go and/or enjoy it. Luckily, there won't be much recovery time from it so even if it's another month, if it is sucessful, she will get good to go come May!

Good Morning Gnomies...I am embarking on day 3 of the work week!! Tomorrow its all down hill! We are building DNA molecules so that should be fun and exciting for al!!!

Katie I will be in prayer for both your mom and Beth that everything will work out health wise for them!!!

Morning, Gnomies! My week continues to go downhill (not in the same way that Jen's is) -- today I was balancing the checkbook online and noticed there was an unaccounted for $75.00 charge. Called the bank and supposedly it was from a Chevron in Tampa, FL. Apparently, someone has Charles' debit card number. The woman asked me if we had been in Tampa recently. Um, no, I would remember that. Now Charles is headed to the bank to fill out a dispute, and we have canceled that card. I am just sick about it and burst into tears when I found out. Thank goodness I am on planning until 1:00.

It's a scary thing. I had it happen to me over 5 years ago and it still panics me. I check my online banking just about everyday to make sure nothing is going on that shouldn't be.

Thank you, LL! I do actually check my account almost everyday -- it's become part of my routine. I am glad I was able to catch it as quickly as I did, but I hate that someone did that to us.

I finished it last night. I it. I want the kind of garden the Waverly sisters have. I need to go find her next book. Next, I am starting Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I read the first few pages, and I am not sure about it yet.

What usually happens in those instances is that Charles used his debit card at someplace that has had their information compromised. Like that big thing at TJ Maxx a few years ago. Someone hacked into their database and stole the customers' card numbers. But the good news is that banks are used to dealing with these kind of things so they can usually turn around the money pretty quickly. My bank has a debit card limit on each card too, like my daily spending limit is only $500 at stores and $500 cash through the ATM. That is to prevent fraud and theft. We also have a company that monitors spending patterns so we can flag unlikely transactions.

Can you tell I work at a bank?

After Shanghai Girls, I don't know if I can read another one of her books. I'm too afraid of being let down again!

LL, $500 at stores and $500 at ATM's a DAY?!?!? I only dream of a bank account that would allow me to spend like that without it going toward bills!
