Jess, so sorry about your thesis news how is the new class going?

Not much going on around here. Daniel was sick this weekend and I caught some of it. I'm better today but still feel very lethargic (better than throwing up though!)

The temps here have warmed up to more tolerable winter levels. Last week we actually got a couple days of melting but still have about a foot of snow on the ground. At least the roads aren't as slushy and the snowbanks have receeded a bit. We have had 3 days of fog which has coated the trees and bushes with beautiful ice crystals! Tonight they are forecasting freezing rain to begin and possibly up to 1/2 inch of ice through the day tomorrow...yuck!

I think we're all jealous of our fellow gnomies who are on trips right now! I wonder if you go the freezing rain we had yesterday! It was gross! I had a ton of ice to scrape off my car at the end of the workday!

Jackie...so sorry to hear about your day!!!! Sending you a hug from way up north!!! Hee hee!! I thought of you today.......I called my old mentor teacher from my old school to ask her if it would still be okay to include her as a reference on my resume for next year. She quickly asked me where I was applying, and jumped on the opportunity to see if I would be interested in taking a 7th grade position that they will have next year---even though I normally taught 12th!!! I did tell her I would think about it.......that would be SOME transition back to teaching!!!!! Haa haa haaaaaaaa

Been a pretty lazy day around here. Went and got my oil changed and did some organizing and laundry....not much new!

Jen (MM), I do love middle schoolers -- really and truly! I think teaching 7th graders is so rewarding. I will be interested to hear what you decide to do about that job opportunity.

Jackie, it is nice to hear your feelings on middle school even after a not so great day! I have applied for a position that loops between 7th and 8th grade. I have a very strong feeling that I will be happier at the middle school here than I would at the high school (even though I taught high school at my previous job) but it will certainly be a different world!

We are on a 2 hour delay this morning. I am SO over winter!! we had our 5th snow day yesterday (the 3rd one this month!) and it's starting to feel like this will not end!

I need a vacation!!!! (oh yeah...I leave for Disney in 100 days )

No snow here Katie but it sure is cold. I used to love snow days they were happening but sure hated them come June.

This past trip though wonderful made me realize that I can't vacation without Marc anymore. I miss him way too much. So I want to vacation with him. So I was thinking about going in October and meeting the gals that are going but then I fell in love with January.

I would love to go the week before MLK Jr. Weekend, the weather was perfect for this Northern Gal and the crowds were great except for Sunday at MK. So I came home all prepared for January 2011 with Marc.

Then I get a pin code.

For Free Dining in August, September up until October 2nd.

I don't know what to do now because that is a huge savings for us. Sigh.

It really would be nice to do another Birthday trip. I just don't know. I hate the heat but another reason is that will be around the time we start trying for a baby so maybe it would be better than January. Plus we want to drive down so then we would avoid snow. I don't know. I think I'm going to price it out and see what happens.
