Gnomies Gone Wild

Alright you guys, who gave me pink eye?!:headache:

Yes, I am sitting at home with tonsilitis and pink eye! pink eye! I look half demon!:scared1:

But in better news I have fully booked and paid for my wdw vacation! Mum and I are gonna be staying 9 nights at CBR (POFQ was booked)...sorry Katie, I guess I will miss you by the one day...:sad1:

Jen (MM) I am so jealous! I wish I were going to see Mary....and be in a Mary recital! I can't wait to see her costume!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

I took the plunge. Eeek! Wish me luck!

Will be back later tonight to catch up. Hope all is well with everyone!

Took the plunge for what!?!

I want to bang my head up against the wall. I've made over 400 calls to people and have only had EIGHT people sign up

Worst.

Week.

EVER.

Sorry your day/week is so awful, LL. :headache: doesn't sound like fun.

Took the plunge on DVC... Or at least trying to. :rolleyes1

WOOT Good Luck C!!!!! I hope it all works out!! I hope to take the same plunge very very soon have to get through this pay cycle and then everything is all clear!!!

Thanks, gals. I'm excited. But remember I tried this once before so it's not over 'til it's over.

Stacy- sorry to hear you are under the weather. Hurrah to having your trip all set. Bummer on missing Katie by a day.

Jen (MM)- Mary Poppins sounds fun. I hope you'll give us a full report!

I :worship: to all you moms. How you balance what seems to me like an all consuming task with relationships with your hubbies, girlfriends, communities, work and the DIS ;) I just don't know.

C - that is an awesome plunge to be taking!

LL - sorry you had a yucky week

Katie - It just means we'll have to go again another time! ;)

Anyone feeling chit chatty?

I agree, Stacy, we need to find a time when we can all be in the World at the same time! ::yes::

C---What a plunge to TAKE!!!! Give us the scoop....even if it is just the beginning process!!! It will give us something to root for!!! You will have to share your info on where you look for good DVC deals.......I don't know where the best place to look is....would love to find out!!!

Stace---so yucky about feeling down right awful right now, but YEAH on the trip!!!!

I know this is completely OT and probably TMI, but it has been so cold here, and the air so dry, and I have washed my hands like a gazillion times in the last week due to Megan's illness.....that my poor little hands look like a 90-year old woman's hands---all wrinkled up and dry!!! They have cracked open in so many places from being so dry that it is like I have a hundred little paper cuts all over my hands!!!! Typing is not going so good right now!!! ;) I know.....really out of left field kind of posting, but I was just having this train of thought as I was reading, and thought I would share with you all......so sorry! :)

Stace, congrats on the trip!

C, I am so excited for you! Did you get a bucket of points so the rest of us non-DVCers can rent from you? :lmao:

Good Morning Gnomies.

One more day of working this icky 9:30 - 6 schedule. I am so happy. I still have to make phone calls today and tomorrow. I'm so over it. It's not even the fact that people are rude, it's just mind numbingly boring.

Then I have the wake for Marc's uncle tomorrow night and the funeral on Saturday morning. Which I've been freaking out about because it is a Catholic mass funeral and I have never been. I did ask a woman at work on what is expected for a non-Catholic at a service like that so I feel a little better. I just don't want my MIL getting mad at me and I can totally see that happening. UGH.

Just follow what others are doing (stand, sit, kneel. I had a friend in college who called catholic mass "religious aerobics") If there is not a "program" of some kind just join in where you can with any of the prayers or songs and remain seated during communion if there is one. (There are catholic funeral services and funeral masses so you may or may not have communion) Don't sit near MIL and you will be fine ;)

This reminds me, did I see a reference somewhere to you visiting an apartment this weekend? Did I miss something?

WOW, I just glanced up at the news and they said our town got 6 inches of snow, it didn't look like that much when I peeked outside this morning but with the snow piles as high as they are, it's hard to tell I guess

I have been to a Catholic wedding, but never a Catholic funereal. I second Katie, just follow everyone else. :thumbsup2

The woman at work just said to sit and stand when they did and remain seated when they kneeled. She even called her husband and he said to do that too. I just worry I won't have a chance to not sit near MIL. UGH.

Yes, we are moving....again. We don't like the complex management, they are unreasonable and we've had maintenance walk into our apartment without anyone answering the door while Marc was sleeping so we've just kinda had it. The only reason we knew they came in is they left on note on my desk with my paper. UGH.

:(
Yeah....I'm not looking forward to this at all. I wish I could get out of going somehow but that would make me a bad person.

I have a phobia of funereals, so I understand completely.

I really hate them. Whenever I go to them it brings up all these horrible feelings from my grandparents' funerals. UGH. Plus, surprise surprise there is a bunch of drama between FIL and the Uncle who passed away so I'm afraid there is going to be a scene when emotions are running high.
