So, for all of you headed to Food and Wine, Disney put their Festival Guide up on the website today. I have had fun browsing it and am super excited to see the poster featured. I am so getting one for the kitchen! I can't wait! Also, they have a pic of the gift cards -- also super excited about that, too!

To further amuse you... some movie news:

The actress who plays the red headed vampire Victoria is NOT coming back for the 3rd movie. She's being replaced by Ron Howard's daughter. Too bad. Of all of them she was the one who was the closest to how I pictured the characters in my head.

Miley Cyrus and Zack Efron (sp?) considering remaking the Gidget movies. I loved Gidget and Moondoggie. I wanted to be a surf bum. Still do.

1975 Haunted Mansion Operating Guide - ~$200. Ahem... Jen.

Policeman prop from Mr. Toad's Wild Ride ~$3,600. CP - would look great in your living room, no?


Horizons (old retired attraction) ride vehicle. ~$14,000 LL you have room for this in the apartment?


Signed IASW poster ~$1,800. Julez - would look great in your new house....


Door from Monorail Red ~$2,800. Katie - a must have, no?

I'm very upset about Victoria being replaced!! She is exactly how I pictured Victoria. I read an article online that speculates that she is being replaced for a "bigger" name, I really hope that is not true.

I don't know how I feel about Miley and Zack remaking the Gidget movies. Miley Cyrus kinda makes me want to throw up.

Really...seriously...the cast operating guide which would divulge into the inward makings of the most wonderful ride on the planet and it would all be mine...and only for $200.00 LOL!!! I wonder how I can spin it to make Prince P understand this is a necessity and not a friviolous want LOL!

Hope you're having a good Thursday!

CP- how's the weather? Hope the sun is shining on your *gasp* last day of summer vacation.

Katie- "happy" last day of work? Hang in there, I know something is going to turn up!

Stacy- how was your first day? Are you open for business yet or setting up the store? I worked retail for many years and opened quite a few stores. That was always my favorite - hard work but fun.

Julez- how was that house you looked at?

Jen (JJ)- tried that WW recipe yet? Please share any good ones!

Jen (MM) - how is the car shopping coming along?

Paula- what have you been up to? I just saw that the National gymnastics championships will be in Hartford, CT in Aug 2010. If you come we'll have to get together - that's 20 min from me!

It started out awful here but now the sun is peeking out so I am heading to the pool.

Can't remember if I told you guys but I'm heading "out west" tomorrow to Seattle for the weekend. I'll be back late Monday. Don't think I'll get to DIS while I'm away so hope you all have a good weekend!

Thanks for the thoughts but today is the second to last day of work (we'll see how long I stick around today, I haven't seen my supervisor yet and he's the only one who cares) I have a few things to work on this morning but by lunchtime I'll be bored. Seriously, I would happily take a job with about 3 times the responsibility. I've never had a job where I have had a lot of time with nothing to do and I feel like I am wasting my time sitting in my office when I could be dising from the comfort of my own home instead

I e-mailed the guy I interviewed with last week in hopes of hearing something back (but given that it has been so long, I'm nervous what the answer will be despite the fact that he did tell me it might be 2 weeks before he was able to make a decision)

Oh, I like the new smiley. There are a few I'd like to suggest. I wonder if you can make your own smileys somehow? It cracks me up how often in "real life" I am looking for a DIS smiley to appropriately express emotion. It's as if it's the only way I communicate.

Of course, it's Thursday. My bad. I am all screwed up on the days of the week when not working. Good for you for being proactive and emailing your interviewer. I will continue to think good thoughts.

I'm going to Seattle with my grandma, aunt and one of my cousins to visit my brother. My camera is charging as we speak so I'll do a mini TR if anything exciting happens. I am especially looking forward to checking out Pike St Market although Seattle is apparently experiencing record heat and the hotel being in downtown doesn't have a pool.

OOH...we went to Seattle last summer and Pike's Street Market was a great time...I really really enjoyed it. I know you will have a great time with family...so have a safe trip!!!! Take lots of pictures and try not to melt in the heat LOL!!!!!! It is warm there...I have family that live in Tacoma and they were trying to complain to me LOL!!!

Trying one tonight so I'll post it if it turns out well...we are making Italian Chicken Rollups and roasted potatoes...hmmmmmmm!

In general, I am a highly independent equal rights kind of gal. But when it comes to the lawn, insects, rodents or other creepy crawleys I believe we are firmly in men's territory!

Gnomies I have some news!!!


I HAVE A TENTATIVE SURGERY DATE!

August 26th!!!

I am SO excited.

I had a great appointment today.

In three weeks I have lost 12.6lbs and only need to lose 8 more before surgery so they have me tenatively scheduled for August 26th!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I will be fine to go to Disney on my vacation both the surgeon and nutritionist assure me that I will be A-OK! At that point I will be eating normally and not have had my first adjustment yet so YAY!

I am super excited, you have no idea. I just can't believe it's going to be so soon.

Marc will still be in October sometime. He lost 17lbs! He has a bit more to lose than I do before surgery.
