Well, in light of the Hurricane that is approaching us..and the earthquake that just hit a few days ago! I have a Disney question for you all.

I originally had dates for December 12th-18th when Free dining was the 11th-17th..I hadn't booked the trip yet, but was getting ready to. Today they announce that they changed the free dining dates and they are now the 10th-15h. If my trip falls the 12th-18th, does Disney honor the 16th and 17th as free dining still? Or is it just the 12th-15th I would get free and the last two days I have to pay out of pocket for?

Jess, I believe as long as you check in before the free dining ends that you will get it for all the dates of your trip.

Jess, I'm quite certain LL is right. Free dining is based on your check in date and will continue with your entire package. My brother's family and my parents will actually be there at the same time.

Gnomies have been quiet lately! I haven't even made it to the Dis much lately. Between trying to squeeze in everything we wanted to do the last couple weeks of the summer and the start of the new school year, my time seems to be running short With the exception of a fire alarm on Day 1 and a bomb threat on Day 3, the year is off to a good start I told our new principal to expect an earthquake today

I really have to say, I think this new leader in our building is going to be the best thing for our school! He is motivated and realistic with a great vision. I have heard both staff and students comment about how genuine he seems and he speaks with such motivation, you can't help belive in everything he says and want to follow.

I am a little up to date on all of you (except Stace...come on girl, join the crowd would you!) through FB though so let me just repeat the following:

Congrats to LL and Marc What awesome, wonderful exciting news!! Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Wonderful news and great sadness for Jackie this week. I'm sure you would give up the award to have your Mom back but I'm sure it's well deserved. My thoughts are with you.

Glad the school year is off to a good start for you Katie!! Minus the bomb threat and all. We had so many of those when I was in High School since I was there during the Columbine time, we had threats on a weekly basis of bombs and shootings. It really wasn't fun.

Thanks for the congrats! Marc & I are so super excited. We were on the path to start IVF this fall and turns out...we are pregnant! I still don't quite believe it.

I hear ya LL...I was too and was repeatedly sent home because of the threats. I was on the high-risk list of students that were taken out of class and kept in the office until a parent picked you up...what a nightmare! I'm glad you're safe and sound Katie

Jackie - you're probably far to busy to be on the dis at the moment, but I just want you to know that I'm thinking of you and will be keeping your family in my prayers. If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. Try to remember the good times. Time will help ease your pain.

LL - I am so excited for you and Marc! I'm so glad this is finally happening for you. I know you've been trying for awhile and I'm so happy that you guys have been blessed with this miracle! I can't wait to hear more details as you go along! And I guess it's good you got into a budgeting state of mind when you did!

And I hope everyone else is doing well. Sorry Katie, I just can't convince myself to do the facebook thing! Things have been very very busy here. I had family here from Winnipeg and there was also a death in our family (a distant aunt), that had people travelling around and I have been back and forth to Toronto trying to get my films picked out for TIFF (the Toronto International Film Festival) and work of course....and then next month just goes crazy! I will be gone for 5 days for the film festival and then on September 11th I've helped to organize a walk for ovarian cancer through work so we have that, and then I leave straight after work on Sept.22 to Detroit to the airport and then WDW the next morning!: Everyday between now and September 23 I have something going on!

Everyone keeping safe in the crazy weather that's been going on this summer?!

Gnomies I am sooooooo angry right now!

I just sent an email to my travel agent to make sure everything was set and properly booked for my trip next month, only to get a form e-mail back informing me that she no longer works there. No number of who to contact or who might take over her clients or anything.

So I contact the office to see if someone will help me and the person on the other end says that she will "*huge sigh* have to review your file and I'll call you back when I have time" I proceeded to tell her that I was still a paying client and expected a call back by the end of the day or I would contact their head office. She called back in an hour...

However, my original agent messed up the reservation and didn't put in the proper park passes or set up magical express or any requests I had asked about regarding the room.... Originally she wouldn't even give me my reservation number! Now I have to call and do everything myself....which would have been fine (and I wish I had done in the first place!), but it's not what I paid them to do!

I am so mad I could spit! This is the third strike too....the first time I booked through them they screwed up the flight info, and the last time my name was spelled wrong on everything and they didn't want to let me on the flight because nothing matched my passport! I am sooo frustrated!


Okay, done venting! How is everyone?

My foot is slowly getting better. I hate my boot cast, I hate relying on other people, oh what a joy it will be to walk to the copier at work someday with no old lady jokes!

The morning sickness isn't great...it's better than it was but dealing with morning sickness, foot, insurance, loss of wages....well I am on overload.

I actually met with a lawyer today...the insurance company denied my claim stating that I was responsible for my fall. The lawyer quickly told me that was bull honky so that makes me feel better. So we shall see...I think it's going to be a very long process.

LL, I'm confused...isn't the point of insurance to cover you in case of an accident? I didn't realize you could be denied coverage based on how the accident happened That's just wrong!

I filed a claim against the place where I fell's insurance. So they denied it saying that the fall was 51% my fault because I had been there before and should have been aware of the condition of the parking lot. I've contacted a lawyer and she has taken on my case stating that is bull. It's just going to take a long time. My biggest problem is that I was out of work for 8 days and then I have been only working 4 hours a day since August 17. That is A LOT of loss wages for me to cope with and to top it off, I've eaten up a lot of my FMLA time which means my maternity leave is being used up. I am really unhappy about that.....soooooo.....I went to the lawyer. It's going to be a long process but the parking lot is truly awful and they have already started doing construction on it to repair it, in my eyes that is an admission of guilt!
