Gnomes Gnomes on the Range!

Your potential plans sound great, Katie! Hurrah for a pin code!!

I am officially sick of winter. TOO much snow. :sad2:

Hey girlies! Things are good here...busy, but good! Well, I guess I overstated that....Megan was home sick yesterday. She came home from school on Thursday with a fever, bad headache, and very lethargic. Yesterday, the fever and headache continued. She didn't feel like doing ANYTHING except laying on the couch and watching TV. That is SO not like her....that is how you KNOW she is feeling badly! Right now, the fever is down, but she still keeps telling me she has a headache. She is a little more like herself, but still only wanting to watch TV. I just hope she isn't getting "attached" to the "**** tube!" Not something we watch much around here! ;) I just want my bubbly, bouncing, little girl back to normal! :) BUT, we have been doing LOTS of family chatting about our trip....we all can't WAIT!

:goodvibes Hey Stace! How are things in the frozen north?

Guess what I got in the mail this week? A PIN code!! (actually it came to Patrick but I will assume when they look into their Disney computers, they will realize my 9 year old doesn't have a credit card with which to book a room ) It's a great room-only rate, 35% off values! For the week I hope to go in November, that brings the room down to $62/night. Even my parents agree that's a fantastic deal and I see a booking in the near future :cool1:

My dream at this point is to fly to Florida the day before Thanksgiving, spend 4 nights at my parents place and spend the holiday with them and my aunts/uncles. Then we would drive to Orlando with my parents and possibly one of my aunts/uncles on Sunday and spend the week, by 40th b-day being that Wednesday :wizard: I don't know whether Greg would come or not. Between having to leave a week of lesson plans as well as missing some basketball, I just don't know that he will feel like he can go (plus I tried tempting him into saying yes by commenting that maybe he can take a mini trip by himself to a guitar factory in CA that he keeps talking about)

How are things with the other gnomies? When do LL and Jen return?

Oooh! Patrick is mighty lucky! To start getting pin codes at such a young age...:rotfl: That sounds like a lovely thanksgiving/birthday plan! Who knows what Disney I'll be getting this year...I asked for the time off in August to go to DLR for the D23 convention, and I was told that it was blackout time (even though people don't buy jewellery for back to school:headache:) and I likely wouldn't get it. So I asked if I could just book off the weekend of the convention and again I was told that they couldn't guarantee it. Hopefully they'll let me know soon so I can book! So I figured if I didn't get that, that I would go to WDW for my birthday in September and then I was told that it wasn't an "ideal time" either because not all of the part timers were available to work then....they need to decide! It's becoming quite bothersome!:headache:

Hope you guys have fun planning your family trip! And I hope Megs feels better soon! I understand how she feels though! It's prime time for just laying on the couch and watching TV!

Thanks girls...it does suck a lot...but, I think I'll go spend the big 3-0 at Disney World! I haven't spent a birthday there in a few years. Anyone want to come? :)

Birthdays at Disney are so much fun Stace!! Hope you can make it happen!! I want to go for my big 3-0 also because that will also be EPCOT's big 3-0!!!!

Loved the memory!!!

You definately should Jen! My 3-0 is the Magic Kingdom's big 4-0! I'm pretty sure that's where I'll be that day anyhow! I've booked off from Sept. 22 to October 2 so hopefully that will be approved! I think my 26th was the last birthday I had there so hopefully this will be the next! Now, if only a free dining campain would come along...:cloud9: And my tax refund!

I can't see your memory here at work Stace, but I will be sure to check it out when I get home...on my new fancy pants computer. Yayayaya. I love it. It can actually do the wireless connection so now our computer is in our living room instead of the bedroom which I like much much better since Marc sleeps during the days.

I'm wracking my brain trying to come up with ideas for Marc's 30th birthday in April. He decided he didn't want a big party, which I'm happy about. It was adding up quickly with renting a place and such but I still want to do something. He suggested just having his cousins over for a little party at our house which would be nice but still. I don't know. Any super awesome ideas, Gnomies?

Yay LL for a new computer :surfweb: I can't remember what we did before laptops and wireless...probably spend less time on the internet :rolleyes1

I didn't realize Epcot's 30th is coming up...Jen, are you really that young?! Of course I want to be at MK for my big 4-0 this year. I remember being there the year of their 15th celebration...that sounds like ages ago! I won a 15th b-day pin which I think I tossed :sad2:

YAY for a new computer!! Those are always fun to get!!!

Yup Katie, I will be 30 in 2012...that will also be our 10 year anniversary so we are looking forward to doing a big celebration in early October to celebrate both!!!!!!!!!

the 30th stumps me...

Maybe you could do a couple of little things. Like have a family get together or a small gathering of friends and family, and then maybe you two could go for a little weekend getaway or something? :confused3

my mum and family keep asking me what I want to do (and mine isn't until September!) and I have no idea! My mother thinks a big party is in order but I don't think it will be all that exciting! I don't have a ton of friends (at least that I'm super close to) and most of my family that I'm close to live out of the country! She asked me again yesterday what I wanted and I said "to either go to Europe or WDW! And since I can't afford Europe...guess where I'll likely be!" Now the complaint is that she doesn't really want to go there again so soon and she doesn't want me to be away that day....

Hi gals!!

Thought I'd pop in and say 'hi'!

Glad to see the travelers are home safe and sound.... and that Stace hasn't been eaten by a hungry polar bear :rotfl2:

Congrats on the new laptop LL!!

I went to Cancun for my 30th birthday. I wanted to do a laong weekend in NYC... but it was cheaper to go to Cancun lol!!

I have my 40th around the bend (2013) So I'm going to have to think of somewhere for that! I'm leaning toward either London or Italy... since London was cut from the itinerary for Sept.

Sorry I haven't been around... i've been crazy busy. I'm opening an online scrap store keystone scraps dot blogspot dot com tomarrow... and have been going a bit crazy getting the details ironed out.
Looking forward to a BDay sleepover for Allison this weekend too... and of course, I'm in Steeler country.... so I'll be party hopping on Sunday!!

nice seeing you all!!
Take care
P

Hey Gnomies!!! This is SO sad to say, but I honestly can't remember what I did for my 30th four years ago. WAIT, I would have just turned 30 two weeks before we the first time we took Megs to WDW in 2006. I doubt that is WHY we went, but not a bad way to ring in my 30th year!

Happy Weekend my lovely Gnomies!!! :)

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to one very lovely Gnomie!!!

Happy Birthday Jess!! Hope you have a great day that is filled with love, joy, and maybe great suprises!!!!!!!

Enjoy your special day!!!
