You all can keep your snow.... we have freezing here and that's enough, thanks. The thermostat is breaking in my car so it makes it quite uncomfortable. Stayin' in for the New Year...reading the DIS and drafting sample itineraries for an imaginary spring break trip...

Jen, you are too funny! Thanks for herding all the gnomies over there! I have been slacking so bad!

We are finally digging out of the snow. I was given permission to push monday's work to tuesday/wednesday because the roads/icy conditions were horrible! There are still a few slick spots on the ramps and most of the side roads and parking lots are ridiculous. Blake came with me to work the past 2 days to help me make up, but man, I can't wait for it to all melt!

HAPPY NEW YEAR MY BELOVED GNOMIE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!

As many of you know, my holiday cards have been delayed---stay tuned because they will eventually get to you---so I wanted to hop on here to wish you all a very happy and blessed 2011!

I have been very emotional and reminiscent today, and it made me think of how very fortunate I am to have the wonderful family and AMAZING friends both near.....and far! I know that I have never had the delight to meet any of you in person yet, but I do hold you all in such a fond, special place in my heart. I know the feeling is mutual---our common love for WDW is a nice tie that binds us together, but I feel that our friendships have grown even further and deeper than that. I just wanted to take a moment today to let you all know that I do think of you all quite often, with great fondness in my heart, and I am so grateful to have you! Thanks for blessing my year with your friendship---I look forward to all 2011 has to bring for us all.......hopefully LOTS of Disney trips! Much love, Jen

LL, I was in bed by 10:00 too. Back to school in only 2 days, I wasn't about to let the boys stay up late and my options were to sit and watch Greg play Wii football or head to bed...ahh, my glamorous life!!!

Hey there girls! I have to say, I wondered when this day would come, but it's finally here...

I had such a fabulous trip in May and came home feeling quite satiated with Disney. Although I had fun talking to others about their trips and lurking around on the Dis, I was feeling quite satisfied with having had a trip in the recent past. Well this week, that yearning has started to return! I don't know if it's the end of the holidays or the cold or just real life or what but I find myself now thinking about Disney constantly! I still need to talk Greg into my hopeful November trip but Thanksgiving sure sounds like a LONG time away!!!

Mousesavers posted on FB that there is buzz of an announcement coming tomorrow...maybe it will be something too good to pass up!!

Oooh an announcement!! How exciting!

I have finally figured out why I take so many Disney trips...besides the magic and all that. I like to plan the trips. I have found myself this past week starting to gear up to plan a next trip but honestly...I want to go to other places but planning those trips just don't give me the satisfaction of planning a Disney trip. I think I just need to plan to go to the gym more and eat less junk....but somehow it's not nearly as fun.

I know what you mean, LL. Seems like quite a few DIS'ers have become PT travel agents lately. Perhaps that is an option? I'm interested in doing in not necessarily for potential income but just for the chance to go to the Disney school or whatever it is called.

That said I will also tell you that I check the regular Disney job postings somewhat frequently and there is one for which I am somewhat qualified. I may apply tomorrow...

I want to go to Disney school too. And I agree, it's not so much for the income but for the fun of it.

I have had so many people tell me that I should become a Disney travel agent because I have planned so many trips for so many others, and now that this school year has been a complete nightmare, that idea is actually starting to sound good! Is Disney school at Disney? Could we all sign up and go at the same time!??!?!?!?! Oh how fun that would be!

Well I think we need to research this travel agent/Disney school thing. I think you may need an agency to "sponsor" you but think you fund yourself individually so for "freaks" like me who just want to take the course maybe it's not a big deal? Or maybe that is wishful thinking. I will ask a friend who recently became an agent and find out what the scoop is.
