GM and Test Track

My DH remembers something about General Motors employees setting some kind of Perk on Test Track. At the time he did not pay attention as we were not planning at trip. Does anyone know what it is and I would assume he needs his Badge to optain it.

My grandfather retired from GM. When he was with us (this was last year I think) he showed his retirement card and we were allowed to enter in a different way. It may have been the parent swap line? Anyway we got right on the ride! Test Track was down this year in Jan when we were there so I have no idea if they still provide this perk. If so go for it as it saved a long wait!

My hubby is a GM employee, and he just got a promotion today too. I'll have to tell him about this!

My husband works for GM and last year on our honeymoon we got the backstage tour of test track. All you have to do is go through a side entrace, I forgot what exactly the door says, but you have to show your badge and they let you in. They have sort of a VIP lounge set up and you can see the loading area for test track as well as the ride moving along the course. It's really neat. They even serve you soft drinks and doughnuts (they did for us). Then when your ready they take you the back way onto the ride and you completly bypass the line as well as the fast pass line. It's pretty neat. Just don't forget some type of proof that you work for GM.
